Well that didn't go to plan. I was trying to beat my 5k PB that I got in January 2020 of 29:25. I've only had a couple of sub 30 mins since. In my head I was sure I was ready. As soon as I started off though I knew even 10:30 min/mile pace was a killer. I pushed through it and got to a mile. Then getting to mile 2 I had a bit of a wobbly moment and felt sorry for myself. I was cursing myself for not doing more intervals, hills and speed work. I was swearing in my head 'why me?! Why have I got an under active thyroid and I'm perimenopausal! 😡🤬😤 and I wanted to sit on the side and cry... I didn't though. I decided ok... intervals for this mile. Then from 2 to 3 I started jogging. I thought 'Come on! You've got more in you...run Skusey! Bloody Run!' So I did. Not the result I wanted. Not what I planned. BUT I got out there, got 5k done as fast as I could and I did NOT give up! Sometimes it doesn't work out. It doesn't mean you give up. Hope you're having a good weekend? Stay safe 😁❤🌈 #ukrunchat #intervals #sometimesitdoesntgotoplan #5krun https://www.instagram.com/p/CMpdGVHHS8EH66fPHoX7ugDnxHy0X36Z4O-0sc0/?igshid=1vrcgnyt1kmgh
