How many times must i fail before the truth sinks in. The hard knocks of life is what you've become. I repeat over and over as if that will make me swing right instead of left. Your no good. I know it, & you know it. I mean how many times do we have to climb this stairwell to nowhere. How many times must we hurt before we accept the inevitable. All for the try's but I'm done being tried. Confessing an undying love for something that's dead. So afraid of the pain but enduring it at the same time. They say at the end of pain is success. Yet for me the pain of staying and waiting was showing no benefit. The time came when I had enough and had to let go. It was then that I learned that I had gotten the success But just not in a way originally planned. By letting go of the pain success has come in the way of happiness and now I can say the truth has sank in and no longer will I climb the stairwell that lead me to emptiness. #somethinglikeapoet #love #relationship #poet #endurance #havenofear #epiphany #poetry
