I've been working really hard to strengthen my attention span and tbh joining a book club where i HAVE to finish a book in a certain period of time and i also HAVE to actually analyze and form opinions and not just skim or kind of passively take in the work has done so much for me
they aren't incredibly dense or challenging reads but it feels like warming up my brain so it can take on denser challenges
but tbh talking to people who joined for similar reasons, we've kind of collectively agreed that good stepping stones are watching things in languages we don't understand with subtitles on, graphic novels (manga, comics, etc) even if they're very light on text, and even things like video games, visual novels, just anything where you are taking in text and need to truly be present for all of it. following through on reading articles and not just headlines.
just basic, daily stuff, and it has helped
