Sophie is standing on her own with support now! She also still only has two teeth but I’m fine with that cause her sleep has slightly improved. She now is only waking up twice, maybe three times, as opposed to 3-4 and sometimes more every night.
She turns 9 months on Monday and I just can’t believe it. My baby is growing so fast and I am so proud of her but also sad because soon she won’t be a baby anymore.
Well I think my baby is officially teething! She has some bumps poking through the bottom of her gums! I can feel them and briefly see them! She won’t let me take a picture, but they are there! I’m so excited!
My baby is walking 😳
She’s been taking a step or two between things (like from the table to couch that is right next to it). But yesterday she walked across the living room from her activity block to the couch. That was at least 5 steps, if not more. Of course she was wobbly and walked with both arms in the air lol. But she walked! I wasn’t expecting this yet, I thought she wouldn’t walk until she was at least 1. She still seems to prefer crawling but since she did it she kept doing it all night.
Trying to enjoy the small things
Despite feeling desperately depressed at times, I’m trying to enjoy the small things. Like how my baby looks when she’s peacefully asleep on me. Her little face as she smiles in her sleep or how her eyes go wide and in awe at times when I’m trying to talk to her or how her little hand grasps my finger as I feed her a bottle. The way she sighs, seemingly in relief , when I have her held tightly against my chest.
As miserable as I’ve been and as hard as it has been, I’m trying to enjoy the small things of having a newborn because soon she won’t be a newborn anymore and I won’t have this time with her a month from now when I’m back at work.

We gave my baby sweet potatoes tonight! They were the gerber first foods sweet potatoes and she absolutely loved them! Of course she ended up wearing more than she ate but I’m so happy she enjoyed them!
I was wondering why my baby fights her sleep. Omg, this makes me so sad. My poor little girl doesn’t want to leave me and doesn’t understand that sleep isn’t leaving me 😢
My baby girl is going to be 4 months in a little over a week. Where has the time gone? It still feels like it was just a few weeks ago I gave birth and now she's growing so fast!
