1. What is the meaning of your first name(s)? My first name is Elena, a variation of Helena (yes, of Troy), and it means "bright as the sun", "glistening" or, well... "torch".
2. What are you a self-declared expert at? Mm... at making sandwiches? Nah, I'd say I'm good at looking into a subject, doing research and becoming quite knowledgeable on a subject overnight. ("When did you become an expert in thermonuclear astrophysics?" "Last night.") Although, my sandwiches are pretty good.
3. What is the most listened to song on your music player? Acording to my iTunes, it's Carnival of Rust, by Poets of the Fall. It's not very accurate but it's the best I can tell you, since I basically get hooked on a song and listen to it on repeat for a few days.
4. Which is a wish of yours that is not yet fulfilled? I'd like to go somewhere where nerdiness, or simply enthusiasm for something is not only accepted, but encouraged; somewhere like a con, or a theme park... (basically like tumblr, but physical; or theangelisfullofforests' house)
5. What is your favourite Shakespeare play? This is a bit embarassing, but... I've never seen any, and I've only read Romeo and Juliet. However, from the bits and pieces I know, I think I'd quite like Twelfth Night and Much Ado About Nothing.
6. What was your first fandom? (and are you still part of it?) I used to be a huge Digimon, Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh! fan, I'd roleplay it and take part in (small) competitions, but I was 5-10, so I'm not sure it counts... I'd have to go with Harry Potter (since I was 7), and yes, I'm still a part of that fandom. Fun fact- my very first post on tumblr is about Glee.
7. Do you know anyone on Tumblr in real life? Yes! Some of my IRL friends are on tumblr (theangelisfullofforests, lastradagiusta, lovelyfeatherpillow, lasonrisametalica, mymessycrate, etc.). However, I haven't met anyone exclusively through tumblr.
8. What is your next holiday destination? I doubt I'll go on holiday until summer, so that's Barcelona and London (epic nerd tour with theangelisfullofforests).
9. What do you do if you can’t sleep at night? Curse a lot. Get anxious about how tired I'm going to be the following day. Turn on the light and read, or listen to instrumental music.
10. What is your favourite thing to do if you don’t have any plans or obligations? Watch films or TV, read, download music, browse tumblr...
11. What is something you wish more people would know about you? We all have issues. It's not as easy as you think. My family life is hard. Respect it.
