Just some quick crap I doodled during a movie on our class.
It’s quite funny tbh, like the moment you realized how quickly your Point of view can change in just a moment of time, like one day she meant the world to you, the next few days she’s just somebody that you used to know
on a nicer note i'm really happy with some of the stuff i have in my current sketchbook! i'm looking really forward to finishing it and scanning some of the stuff in
Yoooo
Someone today told me that if I continue being so selective then I'll wind up being 80 and alone; to which i replied, that's exactly why I'm selective. I refuse to settle with someone for the sake of not being alone. I don't fear being alone, I fear forcing a connection between myself and somebody and then watching it die as we realize we have nothing in common. If it happens, it happens. If it doesn't, it doesn't. I am a whole person, just being with myself. JUST SOME FOOD FOR THOUGHT

on approaching the dreaded middle age
we wake up one day and we are old. not old old, but definitely not young anymore. it doesn’t come out of nowhere and arrive that way, but creeps up in fits and starts.
we decide to eat more balanced meals and give serious consideration to the kind of vitamins we know we ought to take. we go to bed earlier because dragging ourselves out of bed has lost some of the appeal that it had when the cause of our fatigue was a night at the club. which we also enjoy less since the music is too loud, the drinks too expensive and we realize that we no longer enjoy dressing up in hooker chic.
men who don’t hold the door or hold a job, who are broody and always late no longer seem mysterious and sexy, they are just rude and broke. we no longer want to ride in a beat up car or spend time with a man who can’t get credit.
conversations with friends include much more in the way of reminiscences and we have started to view the past with nostalgia.
we are increasingly and complainingly political but are moving to the middle of the road. we see the greys.
we lack the ease and patience we once had; queues are a source of extreme annoyance and the slack customer service available today pisses us off.
we are not old but our parents are, which leads to a whole host of other worries and problems we are not ready to deal with.
we are, at last, grown up, but we are resentful of the fact and have little in the way of grace. we have, at least in part, retained a sense of humour which is of some importance. we will need it since, as best i can discern, from this point on, it all starts to pick up speed and the life lessons we acquire from here on out are not easy.
