It is an honour and a pleasure for me as well!

I've been thinking about this and I think my tastes change from week-to-week and really depend on my own mood. I can be super picky or just read whatever I stumble upon that day and still have a good time.

For MDZS, I prefer it if the fics are wangxian-centric, either as a couple or as individuals. I enjoy reading canon-divergence stories a lot and I love stories that feature angst with a happy ending! I also really like it when authors get creative with the setting, e.g. if it's a modern au with cultivation then I love to read world-building heavy stories. But really, my likes and dislikes are not very static and change a lot.

As for my favourite stories, here are some of them:

7) When is your preferred time to write?it turns out to mostly be at night, but i’ve figured out the pattern: after i’ve been doing something long and sort of boring! like driving, taking a shower, housework. something that lets me focus on thinking but i’m also not just sitting around trying to think.

19) Are there any stories that you’ve written that you’d really love to do a sequel to?uhh well i’ve had spinoff ideas for Aubade from the very beginning:

Dagna and her grad school adventures and romance with Sera

Vivienne and Bastien’s high society parties and cute domestic life

Alistair’s brewpub

Merrill’s history with Vallas and Lin and how she suddenly acquired a bookstore, and her totally-not-secret-blood-magic method for restoring old books

and mostly recently Aquenia Pavus’s political drama, life as a divorced politician in her 50s, burgeoning understanding of her bisexuality, and life-long enmity for the Official Tradition Magister’s Hat (it’s like the powdered wigs lawyers had to wear but it weighs a ton and looks awful)

Wow, that must have been so obnoxious. Props for managing to stay calm throughout 6 separate people pulling that. I think I would have snapped after 2. You know what you car looks like better than anyone else. I hope they were appropriately apologetic!

No but like I am frequently torn between an: ‘am I in a really dark sitcom? Are people currently laughing at the look on my face when I got told this?’ response and the: ‘humans are such fascinating animals look at this one’ response and the: ‘YOU DID NOT JUST’ response and the ‘I invite you all to laugh with me at the ridiculousness of this’ response and then just the ‘staring at the camera like I’m in The Office’ response.
