I almost wrote that in the tags tbh but I thought mentioning #twink awareness was better

my only thought is: what if they can’t “make their way out” of it? what then? cya later? recovery can’t be the end goal because not everyone recovers, a lot of people just make do and survive and that’s the best we’ve got for the indefinite future.  it’s not about loving someone in spite of their mental illness or in hopes that their mental illness will “go away” someday. it’s loving someone *and* their mental illness. “warts and all”, like they used to say on BSG, and that’s a quote that stayed with me. we have “pretty” and we have “ugly” and loving someone means loving all, not just the parts that look picture perfect or good in a suit/dress or that you can make casual talk about at dinner parties.

like, medical recovery isn’t accessible to me at the moment, and im not sure it will ever be accessible to me within this decade.  the real me isn’t hiding under the mi!!! the real me is already here lmao

but i think what made the most upset was like... because it was in the point of view of who’s in a relationship with someone with a mi---and i’m in a relationship with someone who has a mi---and like... i’ve never looked at him like “you are perfect until your mental illness gets in the way of how i want to see you” and that’s just so fucking selfish???

it’s one thing to feel empathy and hurt for someone when they’re in a low mood, but you can’t fucking act like their pain should take a backseat to your own goddamn reaction.  like what the fuck??? no??? don’t do that???  

and now I’m kinda sad that I don’t know Italian cause you had your hopes up only to be let down yet again. :[ and I’ve been good! trying to catch up with what I missed during my hiatus… did you watch the SH premiere yet?
