He's a tenured professor of archeology who has a PhD in the societal structures of ancient Tevinter and early Elven societies. She is the director of a small museum dedicated to Dalish heritage crafts and traditional art. The museum also has a small gallery where artisans who are continuing and maintaining their trades can showcase their work and ongoing research. Her job, unfortunately, tends to have more to do with maintaining funding and managing personnel than it does researching and creating new education programs and exhibits. Merrill is actually her educational programs director, in charge of researching and creating new programming, as well as giving tours when school groups come around.
