Writing this up was my recreational activity this evening. To help my family learn Portuguese & make it more of a fun group effort, I hung this whiteboard in the kitchen. The intent is to feature a super practical/casual word or group of themed short phrases each week & include everyday usage examples. This week's word: FART! I'm thinking next we'll do a collection of top Megatron-Berg household phrases, featuring classics like: 🇵🇹 Who the f*ck touched the thermostat?! 🇵🇹 Shh, what's that noise?? 🇵🇹 Sh*t, it's garbage day. Did anyone bring out the cans? 🇵🇹 You better eat that pineapple before it goes bad. 🇵🇹 Dammit! We're out of coffee creamer! 🇵🇹 Is someone in the bathroom? 🇵🇹 Helloooo?! Where is everyone?! Is no one gonna help me with all those groceries? 🇵🇹 For f*cks sake! 🤣 I did this for myself with things I say to the pets & it's a fun way to learn a new language. Now "Ew, wet face!" "Don't lick me," "Do you want a blanket," "Be quiet, you have food," and "Whhaat?! What do you want!? You have everything!" are a regular part of my vocabulary 🤣 But after diving deeply into fart vocab 101, I realize in order for us to effectively communicate, I must find more obscure flatulence & related European Portuguese slang (and the fact that most language resources are Brazilian is making this even more challenging!) Like, is there a word for shart/oops poops? Prairie dogging/turtling? Sneeze pees? "The runs"? What about phrases for your period akin to "Aunt Flow"? When learning a new language, these are the important things! 😉🤣 SO MUCH TO LEARN! ☺️ I also need to learn all the k1nk & s3x-positive words. Every piece of dunge0n equipment, k1nk roles, colloquial intimacy & pleasure related words, etc. What about they/them pronouns?! How does that even work?! CAN it work?! (how "voce" is used in European Portugese is confusing enough + all the weird tenses!) It's A LOT! (Yes, I know I spelled "peidar" wrong in my chart a couple times -- i before e always trips me up. And in Portuguese I'm guessing that's not even a rule lol) #learningportuguese #europeanportuguese #portugueseslang #fartsarefunny #soltarumpum https://www.instagram.com/p/CkxOR02uaYJ/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
