''Whether you believe or doubt about my words, there's no way I could ever change your mind so it's pointless anyway...''
inspired by lilinotabi/soltarination
Pairing: Shizuo/Izaya Theme: farms
"Shizu-chan, move the cows."
Orihara Izaya was clearly not suited for farm work, but Shizuo had essentially forced him to come with him to a weekend trip to the country in order to escape the city for a bit.
Izaya expected a hotel, or at least an inn. But, apparently, Shizuo had friends of family that had their own farm and the Orihara found himself shown a barn that would be his accommodations for the two nights. He half expected a pile of hay with a blanket on top but at least there was a bed.
And Shizuo said that there would be plumbing but as far as Izaya was concerned when he tried to take a shower, he might as well just have dumped buckets of water onto himself.
Essentially, their weekend trip was hell for him, but he tried not to let it show too much because unlike him, Shizuo was enjoying himself. But Izaya didn't like sunbathing or milk and so the two main attractions were of utterly no interest to him, but it was nice to see Shizuo enjoying himself.
Until he told him that they had to help out around the farm.
Leaning on a sort of tool Izaya had never used before and never planned on using, he was scoping out the area. Apparently the grass needed fertilizer and so the cows had to be moved, and Izaya was not going to herd the lot of them.
"Shizu--"
He found the blond in the corner of his eye and stared incredulously, mouth slightly agape and the tool falling from his arm no longer focusing to hold it as he watched Shizuo pick up a cow by wrapping his arms around the middle and calmly walk to the other fenced in area before coming back to repeat the process, not noticing as the cow began to nibble on his hair.
He looked over.
"Yeah, Izaya?"
The cow kept nibbling.
"...N... nothing..."

Wrote another short Sterek fic on my phone this morning. Finally got around to transferring and editing it. But I had an idea around the Red String of Fate trope, and thought I'd try it out.
Inevitability Is In Our Blood
The scent of blood clings to the back of his throat, strong and familiar. It hangs in the air like a fog so thick that he's surprised things aren't tinted red in his vision. But he knows who it belongs to, he can pick out the tell-tale essences of human, young and virile and afraid.
Sooooooo, after the twist of last nightâs episode, I felt I had to write something up! There be Teen Wolf spoilers down below!
Okay, so Meeya, Lily, and I thought it would be interesting to look at the twist as if Stiles himself was behind a lot of what happened, rather than being controlled (which is the more viable answer). SO HERE, HAVE MORE DARK!STILES!
WC: 626
The chalk falls to the ground and breaks at his feet. The key is hot in his other hand-
-the key he took last night before rigging Coachâs office, the key he used to unlock the supply closet, the key he used to help Barrow hide in the one place he knew the wolves couldnât find him-
-so hot that it stings. He lets all of them drop and clatter to the ground as he feels his legs begin to give way. He stumbles back into desks, as if putting distance between himself and the board could make it any less true.
âSomeone left a coded message on the blackboard telling him to kill Kira.â
His own handwriting stares him in the face, incrimination in every line, every number a sign of guilt.
Guilty.
Guitly?
No, no this isnât him. Itâs that damn tree! Itâs the darkness in his mind and around his heart! He wouldnât do this- he has no memory of doing this!
Except that isnât true, is it?
He watches Scott watch her and something in him knows. Itâs a feeling he canât describe that floods his heart and makes him want to pull Scott away, drag him from the new girl as fast as he can. But itâs a feeling that doesnât make sense, not really, so instead he tells Scott to go for it. He pushes down that negative pulse and forces himself to be a bro about it.
Thereâs nothing wrong with the new girl.
Except, lately, thereâs always something wrong with the new ones. Thereâs always some ulterior motive, always some wicked plan to get to Scott or to use him. People always end up dead. Like Heather and Emily. Like Tara and all of the people he knew from the station. How many more?
How many more now because this⌠something is now in their town?
He shakes his head, bringing his hands up around his ears as he rocks and cries and thinks no, no, no! He couldnât have known about her. He shouldnât have known about Barrow-
Shouldnât. Shouldnât? Thatâs right. He did know.
His dad is so keyed up, he doesnât notice his son listening in. William Barrow, convicted murderer, to be transported to the hospital where Melissa works under heavy guard. His dad shifts on his feet nervously during the phone call, eventually resorting to pacing as he asks the person on the other end to repeat what was just said.
âGlowing eyes? He says those kids had glowing eyes?â
His breath is coming in quick pants and his head feels light.
Because he did it. He hid Barrow. He sent him after Kira. He did it, he did it all-
For Scott.
His breath catches as the thought solidifies in his mind.
For Scott. Because Scott is his friend. Because Kira will have brought something with her, itâs inevitable. And Barrow? If they had stayed out of his way, he would have killed Kira. And then the police would have apprehended him again afterward. He would be in some prison for the criminally insane for life, far away from Beacon Hillsâ resident kids with glowing eyes. Two birds with one stone.
Just like heâd planned.
Because he did. He planned it. Late at night while trying not to fall asleep and into nightmares. And it was good. It was a good plan. He stares up at the blackboard and canât help but feel a certain amount of⌠pride. If only he hadnât remembered at that pivotal moment. If only he hadnât figured it out all over again and told Scott. If onlyâŚ
Well, he finds himself thinking. No use crying over something thatâs already happened.
Heâll just have to try again.
