A YT channel I subscribed to turned out to be owned by a celebrity
I've been finding many Japanese YTers with few subscribers, fewer than 1000, fewer than 50k, fewer than 100k. Ive been watching a lot of Japanese gay couple channels, specifically, and I've been subscribing to the ones that have English subtitles. I think that it's a good reality check by watching their videos so that I'm not too deep in the BL juice.
I then found this channel named Izaya, yea he looks hot. I watched all of his videos immediately, and he actually added his own English subtitles, which means that the channel fits the requirement of a channel that I'd like to subscribe to (I much prefer a channel with a written English subtitle than an automatic AI-based dub, because I also have been learning Japanese here and there). I then subscribed to him because on top of the English sub, he's also very funny.
Before I did my walk in the afternoon today, YT recommended me a clip from the show The Boyfriend, the gay couples reality show on Netflix, and his name came up, Izaya. I was so confused... He's a reality show celebrity? I then did a quick google search and it turns out to be the same Izaya, the YT channel owner and the one from the show.
I was contemplating during my walk about whether I should continue subscribing to the channel because he's a celebrity and thus can never tell stories of what it means to be gay in Japan as a normal person. But, on the other hand, he's funny and he has his own English sub.
I then decided to still subscribe to him until he has 100k subscribers. He currently has 10k ish subscribers. There're no rational reasons behind this, it was just a compromise I made with my values.
I don't think hospitals treat hanahaki
Lmao Narita had to really love izaya with how often he's described as handsome, younger then he appears to be and overall all kinds of compliments about his looks in novel
