Audio: Last day of the casefic rec week and it's a granddaddy!! I've listened to this so many times. What a great fic for fay jay to do, so many character voices which she does so well! Welsh even! The Ten Gunmen is a sequel coda which is included in the audiobook version but a separate download for the mp3.

Story: It's gen, but it's a great continuation of tGG. Fantastic character building, twists and turns and puzzles worthy of the Sherlockian brand (god I love the talented people in this fandom).

Rating: A, one of the classics of Sherlock podfics must listen

The Case of the Blue Carbuncle

Last Rec of the year, hopefully many more the coming year!

A modernization of The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle, sort of. No geese were harmed or mentioned in the making of this fic. A jewel is stolen on Christmas Eve. John and Sherlock play at being the Grinch.

Audio: I loved John and Sherlock's banter about Christmas! The whole dialogue with the little girl had me laughing so hard, even on a relisten I'm wiping tears away. Such a great fic to finish off the advent series. "Why are you so thin Santa?" lolololol. Ms. H's delivery is great as ever, and perfect music selection matched the situations so well.

Story: The Blue Carbuncle I had actually watched a few days before listening to this so I totally got a kick out of the cannon references. It's only the initial premise used so don't worry if you're not familiar with cannon. Nicely done to fit it in the modern setting, and it all escalated into a hilarious farce. Plus bonus Johnlock Christmas feels squeeeeee (don't want to give the ending moment away but oh John you sweetie and Sherlock oh you)

Rating: A+, I can't wait for Christmas to come around next year so I can enjoy this again!
