When Sam was little and wanted bedtime stories, Siri would tell him stories about when Obi-Wan Kenobi was his age, since the only other stories he heard about old ‘Ben Kenobi’ were from when Luke would tell his nephew about his old mentor.
Even though Siri was quite old by the time Sam was learning to use a lightsaber, she gave him a few lessons, being sure to teach him the first lightsaber lesson: don’t fall down, and the lesson that Siri always had considered to be one of the most important: do what you must, but in an unexpected way.
When Sam decided to leave his family and become a bounty hunter, Siri gave him a number of her old underworld contacts to built up his credibility. Though she didn’t particularly agree with his decision to cut contact with his parents, it wasn’t her place to tell him otherwise, and she quietly kept track of him through her various underworld sources.
Siri really has a soft spot for the Solo children. She’d never pick a favorite, but Sam was first, so...

With a glance over her shoulder towards the cell bars, she gave something between a nod and a shrug. “ Only good things, I hope, ” she replied wryly, knowing full well that there were likely no good things being told about her. Not with the amount of trouble she’d been causing.

She smiled a little at his words, nodding her head in agreement. “ Spoken like a true Jedi, ” she told him. All living beings had their own inherent value in them that could not be determined simply by their worth. It was a thing that Siri herself had learned long ago, but that often seemed to be forgotten, even amongst those who claimed to value life for its own worth.
