The O&E discord server is chaotic, but it gave me something to say now. 🤣
I argue that Sollian dying together would be romantic because I want to see them have a ride and die relationship. Why?
Because by natural order, Solus and Killian are already on the path of one outliving the other.
Whether Solus went first because of his personal problem with the demon or Killian because he was the one that would hunt a lot, or just following the fates of a human and an elf, one of them is bound to outlive the other, so it's not quite as interesting to me than the idea of them passing away almost at the same time.
I want them to be fiercely dramatic, finally found the balance in their relationship as individuals and partners. And then they died in each other's arms, having fought to the best of their abilities, protecting people and each other, but it was inevitable.
What if Solus fell first and Killian tried to patch him up instead of the other way around? Of course he failed, he wasn't a healer.
What if Killian fell first and Solus was desperate to save him, but his body betrayed him? Of course he failed, he couldn't do anything if his body did not cooperate.
One promised to live for the other, but fate said, "No, you are coming with him." So, they died one breath away from each other. One died thinking that the other survived, the other died content that their grief ended as quickly as it started.
