💚💙🎲🎶 hey guys check out my new otp - Solimar x Dr Tongue AKA Solitongue!!!
(oh gosh that sounds like a pokemon xD)
inspired by this comic panel from Issue #2 of the Muppets: Four Seasons comic, which featured a character named Dr Tongue as a one-off gag. I got to thinking of him as an AU version of Dr Teeth and wanted to draw him,,, and of course, what else could I do but sketch an AU Marisol to keep him company? <:3c big thanks to my sister for helping me finalize the details of her design~

Solimar's readyPDF and SPDE version 9.3
Solimar Systems, a provider of print production workflow solutions, has announced the release of Solimar Print Director Enterprise (SPDE) version 9.3. This latest update introduces new capabilities and enhancements designed to support intelligent automation and improve efficiency, color fidelity, and overall performance in print production environments.
Key highlights of SPDE 9.3
ICC Profile Support: This version now allows users to specify a color profile to use when rasterizing documents using its PDF Interpreter. Color profile and rendering intent options allow users to more tightly control output for specific printers or devices, enhancing color accuracy.
Enhanced ReadyPDF Module: The ReadyPDF Optimization module now includes the ability to create output conforming to various PDF/A standards. In addition, a new validation mode helps identify, trap, and re-route problematic PDF files for special handling.
New Conditional Page Rasterization Feature: This version introduces a new ReadyPDF feature that selectively renders complex PDF pages to full-page rasters before printing. This feature can help users produce revised content that might not otherwise be supported on a target printer.
Device-Specific JDF Output Support: The JDF Output module now supports certain device-specific features for Canon PRISMA and HP Elite controllers.
New Time-Out Controls: New options in the Queue Manager offer expanded control over system-wide and application-specific inactivity periods.
Streamlined Logging: Version 9.3 includes options to suppress Windows Event Log messages, potentially improving performance in environments in which IT controls trigger redundant event logging.
Staying Up-To-Date: SPDE supports Windows Server 2022 and Windows 11, ensuring compatibility with the latest operating systems and promoting best practices for secure computing.
Mary Ann Rowan, chief experience officer at Solimar Systems, states, "SPDE 9.3 demonstrates our ongoing commitment to providing cutting-edge solutions for the print production industry. With enhanced color fidelity, expanded PDF handling capabilities, and improved performance features, we're confident that this release will significantly benefit our customers' intelligent, automated workflows."
SPDE 9.3 is available immediately for existing customers with current maintenance agreements.

It’s that time of year when we read “Lines, composed a few miles above Tintern Abbey,” and we reflect upon our own places of solace and reflection. Last year the Pacific showed me the peaceful beauty of her name.
Digging through a decade of digital files I found this 100-word piece I wrote in 2011. The prose feels a bit compact to me today, but here it is:
Solimar
Sitting on this rock, I feel like Mr. Wordsworth a few miles above Tintern Abbey. The weary weight of the unintelligible world is lifted, and I feel both rooted here and free--sublime tranquility. The din of towns and cities is hushed, and I drink the calm persistence of the ocean and am renewed by the setting sun. Bright light mutes the colors to golden grays, and the relentless fury of the pounding waves silences the mundane. This finite moment of the infinite quietly echoes the still, sad, music of humanity. We will inevitably cease, yet this will go on.
