Part 2

My coworkers might as well be playing charades. Not saying what they mean and meaning what they say. Just acting it out. We arrived last to work. She had to make sure she looked perfect before she met my co workers and other military personal.

"How do I look?" She says through gritted teeth. Not sarcastic, just a low tone. "Perfect, you always look perfect. " I smile at her. "I know, I do. " She says in a hushed tone," Today, how do I look today? " We stopped. I humored her and scanned her up and down while smiling wide.

"Sexy." I say in a sultry tone.

" That's what I was looking for (that) word." She smiles back at me. Give me the rundown on everybody, how am I supposed to act?"

"It's just a military dinner everything is fine." I say

Actually it's not. An argument can be heard from where we are standing, it just started. A couple marches past us leaving with anger.

"Do you know them?" She says, after they are out of earshot.

"No." I respond

"Hmm." I say

Part 1

So when are we getting married. She scanned my face for any signs of the answer." Soon," I reply. " I want to ask you and it be a sure yes from you. " She began to scan my face again looking for answers.

"What's it like, being with someone that is feminine ?"The question stuck out to me, only because I havent been asked it before. Beautiful, amazing, and sweet. I said in my head, should of said it out loud." I mean," she cuts off my thoughts," Do you find every woman attractive?" Was this an insecure question, I wasn't sure if it was or if she just needed a genuine answer.

Two questions I havent answered yet, let me start. " It's fun and sweet being with you, and no, they don't hold my attention like you do. " I was being as honest as I possibly could. " I can't possibly find every woman as attractive," I shook my head, " it's not like that, you have a hold on me that can't be explained. " She smiled at my answer.

I looked out the window because I didn't want our shadows together to be seen as obscene. " You're who I want on an emotional level." Smiling back at her, I say, " You're are so damn beautiful. "She looked out the window then snapped her head back to me. "Why do you keep looking out the window?" She continued on, " A sure yes from me , what the fuck kinda of answer is that!"

" I am staring at the window because I am a little distracted, I don't want us to be seen as obscene to the neighbors." She looks out the window again, " Aw, distracted. She says in a sarcastic tone, " My baby is distracted."

Ring.

"Now your cellphone goes off." She laughed as she said it. She grabs for it, I reach out for it but I lost the battle.

"Hello," she says," Yes, I'm his wife."

I heard a few uh-huhs then she got off the phone.

They want you to come in to work. They want me there to. " She smiled, " Surely, you want your wife to tag along."
