Felassan and Solas discord shit:
Jay 🐼Today at 2:41 PM
Man, I apparently really wanna, eventually, actually write Felassan and Solas fighting over the Eluvians.
LeFox 🦊Today at 2:41 PM
Do it
Jay 🐼Today at 2:41 PM
oh if I do it won't be for a bit; I need to get Felassan's voice down before I write the scene in which he dies
LeFox 🦊Today at 2:42 PM
Do it someday tho
Jay 🐼Today at 2:42 PM
probably will It'd be a fun exploration of both him and Solas
LeFox 🦊Today at 2:43 PM
Absolutely And their friendship in conflict
Jay 🐼Today at 2:44 PM
Felassan, tired from avoiding sleep as much as possible to avoid Solas and leaning nonchalantly on his staff in Solas' way. Solas, angry that Felassan's turned on him but sentimental for their friendship and doesn't want to fight
LeFox 🦊Today at 2:45 PM
Solas trying to convince him this is the way it has to be. Felassan trying just as hard to convince him it doesn't have to be this way. Ultimately there's no choice but to fight, and even though Felassan knows he can't fight Fen'Harel, not with Mythal having given him her power, he still has to try.
Jay 🐼Today at 2:48 PM
Felassan has to make his stand. So that he knows he went down fighting for what he believed, because he knows he can't run forever, because Briala's a cause worth dying for. He knows he's going to die. It's one-on-one and Felassan never could have won that fight. But he has to try. And it crushes Solas because, once upon a time, he had that loyalty from Felassan. And Solas has to wonder what he did wrong to lose it. When did he start losing Felassan, when did this start falling apart? Is Felassan right? Is it too late?
LeFox 🦊Today at 2:51 PM
It's another chink in the armor that's already been damaged by his time with the Inquisition.
Jay 🐼Today at 2:52 PM
After Felassan falls Solas stays by him until he's actually dead and then a little longer to mourn before forcing himself to get back up and continue on
LeFox 🦊Today at 3:01 PM
It's just one more burden to carry, more blood on his hands. What's one more, when soon enough he'll have the whole world's blood on his hands?
Jay 🐼Today at 3:03 PM
He can do it, he has to. He's a god and gods can't afford to care so much but when did he become actually convinced of his act? Was Felassan right? Was Felassan right?
LeFox 🦊Today at 3:05 PM
I mean, he's not a god and he knows that, that's kind of the point, but "Was Felassan right" is still a weighty question to wrestle with
Jay 🐼Today at 3:07 PM
I mean yeah he knows he's not a god, but I feel the further he gets from the Inquisition the deeper he gets into his role and while he knows he's still convinced he's more powerful and intelligent than anyone else. Regardless, immediately after killing Felassan he's going to have a moment of abject horror at the fact that he could and wonder if he is becoming everything Felassan didn't want him to be
LeFox 🦊Today at 3:11 PM
Hell, everything he didn't want to be. Everything he hated in the Evanuris - just doing everything he can to get as much power as possible. Even if the ends are justified, even if it's all for the sake of restoring what was, is he actually justified.
Jay 🐼Today at 3:12 PM
Yeah, so Solas has a Dilemma and then choses to ignore it bc he can't afford it
