Bentley University - Solar Hot Air
In 2009, we worked with Bentley University to install one of the largest solar hot air systems in the Northeast USA. This 3,000sf solar hot air system is designed to heat fresh air requirements using the sun for a minimum of 6,500cfm of air volume, up to 30,000cfm of air volume if ever operated at it's maximum.
On a sunny but cold winter day with 30 degree F temps or below, the wall delivers up to 75 degree temperatures to the Dana Athletic Center as the large mechanical units call for fresh air. Not unlike other systems we've installed, this installation has the capacity to provide space heating to this very large basketball arena on some of the coldest days of winter.
