To the people of the future solar eclipses who want to make a light box to see what the sun looks like, here is an example, I did exactly what the tutorials on YouTube say to do, kitchen foil on top of a box and taped so no light can enter, poke needle holes into it and then cut out a small rectangle on the side so you can see in when the beams of light hit the poked holes.
It will work exactly the same with the toilet roll ones too, the light will travel through the hole and have the shape of what the sun is.
I had tested it the night before with my ceiling light that is shaped like a ring and the shapes inside the box were rings (my phone found it hard to capture so turn up ur brightness, far cooler irl).
So yeah goodluck.
(pictures from the beams of light going between the leaves of a tree onto the floor, which is roughly how it works with the boxes, more accurate to how you'll see it inside the box instead of how an unfocused camera does.)
