Of all things to occur that day, events she considered and people she met and the various ways Sakura could fill her time, encountering Uchiha Itachi was no where on that list of possibilities. 

There was no mistaking him. Dark hair a stark contrast against his skin and proud features boasting all the traits she’d come to associate with Uchiha were telling signs. Not to mention the swift reaction of terror upon seeing him. Long ago she’d learned just how dangerous this particular missing-nin was and a thrum of chakra through her system was instant. Even with him collapsed on the grass and the years of her own growth and the knowledge of secrets Sasuke shared, she found herself weary as she approached.

Guarded and ready to protect herself, feet stepped quietly over the ground. A whirlwind of thoughts occupied her mind, ranging from questioning just how he was still alive to the worry over how Sasuke would react. He’d been...obsessed, her clinical mind supplied. Obsessed and mourning even when indulging in the comfort she offered.

What would Itachi’s return do?

          staunchly ignores this.   eyes closed yet not relaxed,      crinkled at the edges with the effort it takes.

                      this is the second time itachi has deigned to flirt with him,      && it’s as incomprehensibly discombobulating as it was the first.

I always imagined Phobos suited Dei-bae.
