I agree. Tbh, JYP really needs to balance the rap and vocals in their songs. “Just Right” is not a bad song but it’s filled with long rap parts and is hard to listen to for people who don’t enjoy rap. I honestly don’t understand why Yugyeom doesn’t even have lines/screen time while he is a stable singer and can control his breathing just fine during lives. And he is one of the members who does need exposure since, as you said, he is underappreciated, and barely appearing during performances after 8 months is not helping his situation. I’m glad at least Youngjae has decent lines this time since during “GGG”, he was in Yugyeom’s current situation. I also think Jinyoung needs more lines, his voice is great. Like I don’t get why it’s so hard to keep a healthy line division in title tracks.
I don’t know if JYP is planning anything for Yugyeom in near future but I’m hopeful that he will snatch an MC position since he is really articulate, and expresses himself excellently. It was really nice to see him as an MC in the recent Real GOT7 episode, and he was really happy and precious when the other boys praised him.
They talked about having a long promotion round so hopefully they will choose a more balanced song (if they decide to promote another one). c:
