#softhshell turtle

A fossilized osteoderm from a Cretaceous aged softshell turtle, possibly Khunnuchelys kizylkumensis from the Bissekty Formation in Dzharakuduk, Kyzylkum Desert, Uzbekistan. This species lived alongside other turtle genera such as Anatolemys, Lindholmemys, and Shachemys. Other species of this extinct genus of turtle can also be found in China and Kazakhstan.
