Last thing I googled: "Do You Want To Play With My Balls?” It’s a children’s book and it’s incredibly funny! Fun for adults and fun for kids (because they have no idea what the hell is going on.)

Favourite colour: I love earth tones, I used them so much in my work, my professors banned me from using them for a semester. By far, I love orange and lately I’ve been feeling burnt orange. It’s great. I’m always wearing earth tones. 

One thing that makes me happy: Having friends or people who I care about check up on me. I forget to take care of myself sometimes due to working. I’m trying to get better at it but having a friend be like, “Hey, take a break, let’s go to the park” is what makes me really happy right now. I guess instead, I could say random little adventures with people I care about. Yeah. :-) 

Movie: Ummmmmm.... Oh no. This is hard. I love all Miyazaki films, been watching them since I was a wee little lad, they even influence my work. I’d have to say Howl’s Moving Castle. 

Last book I read: Uh oh. I don’t remember. Do graphic novels or comics count? I’ve been working on one this summer to promote and sell at a comic convention in October. :-) 

Most used phrases: “Oh my!” “I don’t know.” “Ummmm” “Ahhhh” “That’s so pizza.” “You can do anything if you put your mind to it.” “Pardon?”

Beverage: Spring water or strawberry lemonade on special occasions.

Food: I like food, yes. I’ll eat anything except for seafood and some meats and mushrooms. I can’t say I have a favorite food though. :/ 

Dream wedding: Nothing incredibly crazy or much, but I do have to say... I am sorry in advanced because I will be groomzilla. I’m gonna do everything, the invitations, the color pallet, the napkin rings (I just made some last semester for  a project), basically almost everything visual except for the food. I could DIY the shit out of it and make it look awesome at a cheap price. Wait, this is my dream wedding? Oh, hm. I don’t know. I don’t really care where or what it is, I just want all of the people who matter to me be present and that I will genuinely, without a doubt, love whoever I’m going to marry. 

Dream job: Okay, here we go. I have MANY. Obvious and main goal: Children’s books. I’d love to have my own studio one day (not just for my own work, but an actual business running out of it) where I can make a bunch of different products ranging from cards, toys, designs for interiors like bedding and sheets, apparel, ad campaigns, basically anywhere and anything I can put an illustration on. (Which is almost everything, except for living human beings, well... I guess tattoos but someone else can do that, I’ll design it though!) Haha! I’d also love to own a little shop below the studio which sells a variety of the products in a retail location. I think what I’m trying to get at is that I’d love to have a lifestyle business based mostly through my illustrative work. It will be possible, I just need to find a team of people who are at the top of their game and are willing to help this dream come true. I also plan on teaching in an illustration department at an art school once I get the ball rolling after a few years. Most schools don’t hire people who are not experienced in the field, so it would be great to come back and say, “If I can do it, you can do.” I love to help and inspire people. (I swear, I don’t know what’s gotten into me but I can’t stop typing, I’m so bored at work.)
