"Lee," I woke up groggily. Pretending to be people had shown me a whole new side of Lee. Without his burden, he would have made the perfect stay at home husband. I was the one with the career dreams. He loved to cook and clean for me. He was always excited to see me when I got home. He massaged my feet, painted my nails, decorated the house. He was perfection.

"Making you breakfast," he smiled winningly. He looked so much more healthy these days and to say it was a relief was an understatement. He had the ever present cigarette in his mouth. I took it out deliberately and kissed him hungrily. He was always so eager to kiss me. I'd thought he might nibble and bite my lips with kisses, but no, pure desperation and adoration. He was never rough.

I didn't want the kiss to end but he broke it to work on the eggs.

"Hey," he frowned as I put the cig in my mouth.

"You smoke too much anyway," I chuckled. I sat on my chair, legs wide, appreciating his form.

"Here my love," he said and brought me a steaming plate of food. I stood up and kissed him again. We swayed.

"Wanna take a day off and just kiss me all day?" He begged.

"We gotta pay the bills handsome," I smirked.

"We could just eat the landlord," he chuckled.

"Lee! What did I tell you about eater jokes," I said, slapping him lightly.
