ej knew to leave you alone when you were on the phone with you mom and dad. he knew you didnt have the greatest relationship with them and it was hard to just make a phone call sometimes. so he kissed you on the forehead and parked himself in your bedroom till you were done. the door swung open and ej dropped his phone onto his chest, eyes tracking to the freshly swung open door. "how'd it go?" he hummed taking in your sad figure standing in the doorway. you sighed and shook your head taking a few steps toward the bed before knee walking up onto the bed falling into his lap, head landing on his chest. "what was it this time?" he asked rubbing his hands gently up your back squeezing you to his chest. "the usual everything but nothing" you sighed. "hyper fucking critical and mean about it" "m'sorry sweetheart" you didn't know what to say so you just melted into his warm body lulling into the rubbing up and down of his hands on your sides and back. "for what its worth i love you, and i think you're doing great" he reassured you hugging you tightly once more pressing his soft lips to your forehead once more letting you soak in the comforting silence.
