how could he say no to a request like that from nat ? how could he ever say no to anyone requesting that of him ? he didn’t want to, not in the slightest. seeing her here with him, having her request something like this, he couldn’t find it in him to say no. in steve’s mind, natasha was never all that open with anyone, never that affectionate. at least not initially. and if she wanted him to stay, wanted him to stay close, he couldn’t even find an ounce of him that wanted to say no. moving over closer to her, a soft breath escaped his hips, eyes focused to meet her gaze. “i can stay if you want me to.” his words were soft, unwilling to break the moment that they found themselves in. he didn’t want to risk her changing her mind and asking him to leave. 

“and you know that i’ll stay as long as you want.” he’d stay however long she needed, however long that she wanted to have him close. he didn’t care what other obligations he had. he always tried to keep his priorities in line, and his friends and the people he cared about were always at the top of that list. “are you okay ? everything is okay, right ?”

Aladdin frowned, hand flying to the top of his head protectively. There were many things that he was willing to do for his baba, and that included even taking baths (eugh),  but there was a time when a man had to draw a line.
