Sadman Week 2025 Prompt (Day 3): May I Have This Dance? (with bonuses Hair Ribbon and Eye Contact!)

I'm a sucker for that scene (even as problematic as the movie is, forgive me), and a sucker for Dream and Hob's 1789 meeting. I know the Dream King says he does not dance, but perhaps with the right music and right partner?

I haven't done an art recap in a few years. Despite 2025 being such a challenging year (or maybe because of it) I dealt with a lot of stuff by throwing myself into my digital drawing. I'm still figuring a lot out, but the most important skill I learned was how to finish, post, and move on the next piece without fixating on viewer reactions. Which is REALLY HARD.

This year was also an overall return to fandom after a several year dry spell. Season 2 of The Sandman rocked my world, and inspired me in so many ways. It led me to the LOVELY Dreamling community, where I met some of the kindest and most creative folks I've met in fandom, hands down. I began writing fic again, including a multi-chapter Dreamling fic that I hope to finish in 2026.

In October I went all-in for the DinCobb anniversary event, making art and fics of my favorite Mandalorian and his space cowboy. It even led to me picking up part 2 of my epic fic Stack the Deck, which I now have 18 chapters written for and seven completed tarot cards. I'm really excited to share them next year!

I also found myself more than a little obsessed with a certain bleach-blond synthetic man, and decided to try my hand at writing some x reader fic for the first time. It's been fun playing in the Alien franchise sandbox, especially with that sassy synth, Kirsh.

There, I fixed it, though I am dating myself HORRIBLY with this reference. Five points to whoever gets it first.

My offering for Kirshtober! I haven't had the time to write, but I've still been able to draw to keep myself sane. I put it under a cut just to be on the safe side, tw for android body horror, broken bones, and Ken-doll style nudity.

Sandman Rarepair Fest 2025 Prompt Day 3: Crackfic

I had a DAY yesterday, one that involved a wait in the ER (everything was fine, thankfully). During that wait, I did what any normal artist would do and drew soft, slightly spicy fan art.

Din and Cobb steal a little time together in this modern AU.

I'm squeaking in under the wire for AU Week for the DinCobb Anniversary Event! My favorite movie of all time may well be Mad Max: Fury Road, and it lends itself so well to a Mandalorian AU. I even have a back-of-the-box description for it:

Mad Mando is a solitary hunter, surviving in the Wasteland by his wits and his weapons. When he finds a lone child, he reluctantly becomes his guardian until he can escort him to the nearest civilization. His plan is complicated when he discovers that the Child is wanted by the notorious warlord Immorten Gideon, who has sent his elite Imperator Vanth to claim the prize. However, Vanth has his own agenda, and he forges an unlikely alliance with Mando. With only Mando’s V8 Razor Crest muscle car and a handful of allies, they must take on Gideon and his Dark Troopers if they hope to be free from Gideon’s oppressive rule.
