Someone help me, please. Yesterday I saw gifs of Grogu staring intently at Din and Cobb. The caption was "Grogu knows what's up" or something like that. I was on the phone and was sure I reblog it, but it turns out I didn't (╥﹏╥) Anyone seen it, anyone knows, please send me the link, I need it, and I can't find it now
a cabin for three - DinCobb ficlet grown out of this
Summary: "I want to give you this deed to a cabin just outside of town where you can lay low with your new family if you choose so. Between adventures." - Greef Karga, when speaking about family, obviously meant not only Din's son Grogu, but also his husband Cobb.

Grogu was outside, meditating near a small water reservoir, while Din sat on their new home's porch. He had a good view of his son from there.
It was a really nice day on Navarro, a perfect one for starting a peaceful, family life, like nothing else matters. Greef Karga couldn't have chosen a better time to give them this safe haven, an island of normality amidst the storms they've endured so far, and likely still await them.
Absorbed in his thoughts, he almost didn't notice a frog levitate from the water. Of course it was Grogu's doing. Din smirk at this underneath his helmet. The kid will surely be happy there.
"Dinner's ready, boys!" called a cheerful voice from the inside of the cabin.
The frog fell back into the water, when the little one interrupted his practice. He rushed to the entrance as fast as his short legs would allow. Noticing that his father was approaching the threshold too, he jumped into his arms, cooing happily.
"You must be really hungry, huh?" Din chuckled, steadying him into his safe grip.
Inside the cabin, the table for three was already set and Cobb Vanth, in his element (he had lately discovered he loves cooking), was filling the plates with huge portions of pasta with some green sauce. "What do you think, partner?" he turned to Grogu. "Looks good for ya?"
"Aa-ee!" The kid praised enthusiastically. He loved the colour green.
The alluring smell of food made Din's mouth water quickly. "Looks good for me too, hon." He said, sitting his son down at the table and taking a seat next to him. "We could get used to this, right, kid?"
"To my kitchen experiments?" Cobb raised his brow, putting the pot on the kitchen counter.
As he came back to the table, Din grabbed his hand. "I mean: to you taking care of us."
While Grogu nodded eagerly, Cobb gave them both one of his biggest and brightest smiles. He patted the kid's head, saying, "Come on, let's eat before it gets cool."
And the three of them lived happily ever after, having a little adventure from time to time.
The End (actually, not really, because I will write some more bullshit about them xd)

Okay, I wrote this because it kept me awake at night that Cobb wasn't in the movie. I just had to fix it for my sanity.

"Mando! Someone's here wanting to buy a drink for ya!" Zeb called from the threshold of the bar. Din turned back again, not sure if the Lasat was teasing him.
"Who?" he asked cautiously, but didn't get an answer. The Anzellans were encouraging Rotta to come in, and Zeb was looking at them with a soft smile. The whole party entered the bar, leaving Din and Grogu outside.
Mandalorian looked down at his little fellow. "Who might it be, kid?"
Grogu just cooed in confusion.
"Think we should check or leave it?"
"Aa-ba."
"Okay." Din grabbed the kid in his arms and followed his friends, who disappeared inside. The bar was quite quiet at this hour. Everyone was doing their duties, just the squad taking part in the action on Nal Hutta and a couple of others were venting there. It was one of the others who called out as soon as they were inside.
"A large spotchka for this weary wanderer!" A familiar figure appeared in front of them. "And juice for the kid."
"Cobb?" Din whispered, while his heart suddenly sped up as if he was being chased by an angry rathtar.
"Being so close, you never dropped by." Cobb's tone was playful, but Din heard those sad notes underneath. "That's not nice of you, partner."
Grogu squeaked happily, stretching his little arms to the Marshall.
"There, there. At least one of you missed me," Cobb took the little one gently from Din, who stood stiffly. The Mandalorian's cheeks were burning red under his helmet. Once, because he was ashamed of how badly he had treated his friend, and second, because he was always flushed when Cobb was around.
The Marshall put the kid on his hip and sat down at the bar. He looked at Din and patted the seat next to him encouragingly. Grogu babbled something animatedly all this time, surely trying to tell Cobb everything they had been through, though the man didn't understand a thing. However, that didn't stop him from being interested and saying, "Oh really?!" or "You don't say!" from time to time, smiling and making concerned faces at the kid.
"Seems like you've been through a lot of drama." He summed it up when Din sat next to him.
The bartender placed two glasses of spotchka and a bottle of juice on the counter in front of them. Din quickly lifted his helmet and drank half of his portion to calm down his nerves. He hasn't seen Cobb from that terrible night, when the sheriff was still in a bacta tank, and everyone was sure he wouldn't make it. Din, when left alone with the unconscious man, revealed all his feelings for him. Then it turned out Cobb had lived, and Din had no idea if he had heard the confession, but he was sure he didn't want to face the consequences of allowing feelings to take over, so he avoided Cobb from then on.
Now, when he looked at the Marshall lovingly talking with his adopted son, and the said adopted son was so happy to have Cobb present, he felt guilty for not keeping in touch all this time. They seemed so much into their interaction that they didn't pay attention to Din. Grogu pointed to Rotta, the anzellans and Zeb, sitting around a nearby table and drinking spotchka too.
Cobb looked that way. "That's your new friend?"
The kid nodded eagerly.
"You're good at making new connections, ain't you, partner?"
Grogu lowered his ears modestly and gave Cobb a shy smile. "Ah."
"And you're so cute," the Marshall sat him on the counter and took his little palm in his fingers. "I bet you get it from your father." He looked at the Mandalorian with a bright smile. "He's damn cute, too."
Din gulped, suddenly regretted he didn't take the whole spotchka at once.
"How are you feeling?" he gathered the courage to finally ask. "Are you good after the bacta tank?"
"I'm fine now." Cobb shrugged. "As good as new. But I retired. Let the younger ones rule the world."
"What? You mean, you're no longer the Marshall of Freetown?"
Cobb smirked at Din using the new name of the town. "Well, I discovered Tatooine is no longer the place for me." He grabbed the glass with a spotchka and swirled the contents. "Currently, I'm in search of a planet without all that sand."
"Are lava fields fine to you?"
This question slipped before Din had fully thought it through. Cobb looked at him with a little frown, but then he smirked again. "Oh, well, actually I don't mind living even near the Krayt dragon as long as you two would be near."
The Mandalorian reached for his drink again, feeling like his chest was about to explode. Grogu cooed encouragingly and got up to affectionately touch Cobb's face.
"Hey, don't we all get too emotional, okay?" Cobb laughed, patting Grogu's head.
Din, emboldened by alcohol, decided it was now or never. He took a deep breath and said. "He's not the only one to miss you, Cobb. I missed you too. Very much. But I have doubts… I wasn't thinking straight when you were injured in the bacta tank…"
"So, everything you told me then," Vanth interrupted him. He was still holding Grogu's hand. "That you love me and want to be with me, wasn't true?"
Dank Farrik. So he had heard and remembered all of it.
"No!" Din replied quickly, trying to stay as calm and clear as possible. "It was true… It's still true… But… I wasn't sure about you returning the affection."
Cobb tilted his head. "And how about now? What do you think are my feelings for you now, Mando?"
Din gulped. "Now… I'm still not sure. But it doesn't change how I feel, and I - I still… I still love you, Cobb Vanth."
Cobb sighed in relief. "That's what I came here for in the first place!" And he grabbed Din's shoulder, pulled him closer and lifting up his helmet, he kissed him softly.
Din's guts exploded, Grogu exclaimed his happiness with some more babbling, and the rest of the bar guests started clapping at them.
"Kissy boyz," the Anzellans seemed content. "Nice, nice!"
"Looks like you'll have two pops now, Grogu!" laughed Rotta. "You're the lucky one."
Grogu giggled, but the Mandalorian and the former Marshall pay attention only to themself at the moment.
"Is this enough for you to be certain?" asked Cobb quietly, interrupting the kiss.
This time, it was Din who smirked, and due to his helmet being lifted, Cobb saw that smirk. "Hm… I think I need another kiss… You know, just to be sure."
