So, since Cedric cloned Sofia and that clone was able to talk to animals, that means that Pink Sofia's Amulet isn't just a phony. It's equally as magical as the original Amulet, and blessings and curses work the same.
Wouldn't that mean that Elena (or a copy of her) would've been inside Pink Sofia's Amulet? Since the original Elena granted the blessings and curses to its owner and thus a clone of said owner having the same powers would have the same quasi-magical princess trapped within the Amulet?
And not even that. Cedric flat out kills Pink Sofia by reversing the spell that made her. This spell also neutralizes the "clone Amulet" and by extension, Princess Elena's clone trapped within the Amulet.
Meaning that Cedric did in one episode what Princess Ivy, Shuriki, Fiero, the Delgados, and the other villains in Elena's series couldn't do in 3 seasons. Kill Elena (even if it was a version that wasn't the OG).

I really liked it. Ahdgh. A lot.
...Except for the whole "let's have the first Latin@ princess but make her entirely visibly white" thing. And making the only big-name black actor (Wayne Brady) a rabbit. (Though yes he is very cute and fluffy.) And the stereotypical "I AM THE EVIL MAGIC VILLAIN WITH AN ACCENT" guy.
And not sure I agree with Cinderella's song, because her family were abusive sacks of shit, and that's not really a healthy way to approach this. (Though granted, I haven't seen the sequels, and apparently Anastasia got better?) But yeah. Making amends is great. Excusing abuse and further subjecting yourself to it in the name of being "nice" is not.
However, the whole positive step-family theme was really nice, and little things like yeah, let's REPAY the animals who help princesses, they deserve something good. And loved that Amber had some more dimension than JEALOUS STEPSISTER RIVAL PRINCESS. (insecurity; her entire feeling of self-worth resides in being loved and approved of. I hope we get to see her break free of that and kick some ass.)
And their little waltz was darling.
So yes. Great themes with questionable racial and social implications.
