I know she said the reveal was before the trip but damn woman you couldn’t have spent $40 on a confetti balloon or confetti cannon or splurged a little extra on a publix cake? For how much she’s obsessed with having kids and grandkids you’d think she’d have more elaborate reveal ideas.

Unless it only counts if she’s the one giving birth and then it needs to be grand and elaborate? I didn’t start keeping up with the Rods until Nurie was getting married so I don’t know Jill’s baby “lore” beyond the stories that get retold like the baby shower/reveal in the hospital cafeteria after her sister’s accident and the professional photo shots of David’s face smushed into her bump at their vow renewal etc

Here's Jill's gender reveal for Sofia for those who haven't seen it, which is the one she had at the hospital after her sister's car accident. It's a whole party with cakes (five to be exact) and snacks and decorations and people taking pictures and video and even a place for people to donate towards a stroller (which after 12 fucking kids you'd think Jill had one of those lying around), definitely more elaborate than anything Nurie's done.

Also remember how Jill's daughters (supposedly) threw Jill a big baby shower for her 13th baby?? I've noticed Jill hasn't done the same for Nurie's 2nd or 3rd pregnancy, at least not that I can remember, which is interesting........I guess Nurie doesn't need new stuff for 2 or 3 kids but Jill certainly did even though she'd had 12 babies previously.

Nathan and Nurie kind of historically have kinda low-effort gender reveals, which I say neutrally bc I don't care either way (gender reveal parties are not my thing anyway) and maybe that's just the way they want it. But Jill has definitely made a bigger deal about her pregnancies in the past than she even did for her first grandkid, just judging by the things she herself has shared on social media.

Yeah. Yikes TM is about right! They are pretty much exactly the same age.

Genetics matter, of course, but... the difference is striking. Sofia looks about two years old, except the look on her face and in her eyes, which is old beyond her years. Meredith looks like a four year old.

Carson Paine is also 4.
