He had no photographs of Bucky. If it hadnât been for the official ones heâd found in the SSR files, he might have thought that heâd never even existed at all. Heâd had nothing of Buckyâs at all when he died. Luckily, Steve didnât need to look at a photograph to remember that face. He drew it from memory. The crinkles around Buckyâs eyes when he smiled. The curve of his lips. His dimples.
When he had finished it, he laid the sketch next to him, face-up so that Bucky could see the stars.
