My C-PAP Machine - the 2nd week and mask leaks
My C-PAP Machine – the 2nd week and mask leaks
I’ve now reached the end of my 2nd week with my C-PAP machine. Unfortunately, it’s not going as well as it could. I’ve had 3 nights in the 2 weeks that I’ve actually woken up in the morning with the mask still on. Don’t get me wrong, I’m over the difficulty of feeling that I’m suffocating and am actually reasonably relaxed with putting it on and wearing it now. By far the biggest problem has been…

Sock Method - Drinking by Myself (Billy Idol Parody)
My Billy Idol Cover. Another lyrical product of college, yet somehow still holds relevence to my life.
This is the fourth time I've tried remixing it and I still can't clear the hiss out of the high end, but learning. Also, that singing thing is still being worked on.

I wrote this song for my dad a bunch of years ago and recorded in a family friends garage in Massachussetts. I eventually came to call it Bon Voyage since he was leaving for Thailand for the foreseeable future.
This was done before I knew anything about recording, mixing, laying down tracks, etc etc etc. No amount of description really grasps how noob I was. Anyway, the guy did the best he could with mixing this track and providing drums.
Drums and recording credit to John DiSanto.
This is quite honestly, possibly, probably, the worst song ever written by the hands of man. It happened in college. In no state of inebriation, I was overcome with a sense of euphoria and lightheadedness. Everything seemed so clear, so simple, and these words just spilled onto the page in front of me. I have to imagine that it was the same sensation that the authors of the bible experienced... and they called it God. I call it depravity of the most glorious kind.
Just kidding, I call it bad humor.
Let me be clear on a few things. Rape, sexism, racism, homophobia... all these things... they are bad jokes.
I fucking LOVE bad jokes.
I wrote the lyrics for this amidst a nervous breakdown in the back of my friends car in the middle of the night. It was my birthday, I was drunk, and I was alone. Somehow that justifies this.
TMI?
And for those of you wondering... No, my friend wasn't around, nor did he know I 'snuck' into his locked car in the middle of the night.
Did I mention it was on a Navy base?
