it's feasible and even practical if the people willed it and put the right minds to enacting it, and most of these things would save the consumer so much money that the stuff that cost more would be covered by the excess. many things that are exorbitant right now would be reduced greatly without the extortion behind them.
certain things, like water, gas, internet, and electricity would be regulated and possibly have overage plans that could be paid for, with special allowances for public places like cafes that attract a lot of usage kind of like how food rationing was not the same for soup kitchens and cafeterias as it was for individual consumers.
everyone should have a baseline of their survival needs covered. income from jobs should be freed to stimulate the economy, growth, creative endeavours, and self-improvement.
the minimum wage and all wages could be recalculated under this system to account for new liquidity. maybe they'd go up, maybe they'd go down, that would be dependent upon the value of the dollar, inflation, and what a "living wage" would look like with survival covered.
ban plastic packaging, restrict use of synthetic polymers and plastics to only necessary fields reduce single-use items enact sustainability standards for manufactured items including clothing, toys, electronics, vehicles etc
this all sounds super radical until you realize that the limitations you're seeing that make it seem so foreign are all based in the current capitalist paradigm. break out of the box you've been brainwashed to think within.
you have nothing to lose but your chains.
