Just a reminder that the always amazing annual coaster show at @gallery30south is coming up next week! These are probably the only paintings I'll do this year so if you've been wanting some of my work here's your chance. This year at one minute past midnight on the eve of October 1st (Pacific Daylight Time) a live shopping cart will be enabled on Gallery 30 South's website so that each individual coaster can be purchased directly online, and collectors can mix-and-match to their heart's content. Purchases and inquiries by phone will be accepted from Noon to 6PM only. If you are interested in buying ALL of an artist's coasters BEFORE the shopping cart goes live please email [email protected] and they will send you an invoice for the full set. Emails will be responded to in the order received. This is always a fun show and a great way to be able to get reasonably priced art. It's hard to believe that even though I've been doing a ton of drawing I hadn't actually painted anything other than sculptures since last year's coaster show O_O I have never combined florescent and matte acrylics with watercolor and gouache before. It's extra. It's really fun. It's also 2020 and I've definitely descended into a bit of cheerful nihilism. Like since everything is terrible might as well do things on my own terms. Super excited to announce that this trio will be part of the 2019 Coaster Show at the amazing @gallery30south in October! The coaster show is truly one that has to be seen in person. So many talented artists under one roof! It was really nice to be able to just let go with these and have fun in my comfort zone of slightly disgruntled animals dressed up in historical outfits. I also got my dirty little mitts on a set of opalescent mica pigments and I'm in looooove!
