hello, hey
I remember you've made post with your oc
but like do you have more?
and what's your favorite dynamic among them and why?
πΏ
Hi! I think you're talking about the little doodle of multiple characters or the text bits that i posted? Or the pixely guy? Hope I'm getting it right, and them all are about the same characters. I have been really obsessed with writing fiction the last... Six? Years. And over all this time i developed my own fictional universe, and all my books are set in it. (i tag it with "sobn" for "stories of the barbaric north"). It's about partially settled lands that border the worlds mundane and paranormal. Currently i have two finished manuscripts, first one is kind of amateur in quality and it took me ages to write and finish. Literally was working on it for two years. But i feel in the end it wasn't good enough for the print. So now I'm fighting my cringe as I'm retouching it one last (i swear the very last) time and uploading it to ao3. The second one turned out very good and took me only half a year to write. Also uploading it to ao3 on a weekly basis and looking for an agent to put this one to print. And about the characters now. Sadly i don't really have more drawings of them, because i decided to learn to draw literally a month ago, lol. But oh boy can i TELL you about them. Like, dude. Just give me half a reason to rant about them and i will yap your ear off. There are a lot of reoccurring characters in the books, cuz they all occupy the same fictional space, and what i really like about this series that I'm working on, is that there is no set order in which to read the books in. The events of different books happen in approximately the same time, so they can be read in any order.
And my favorite character is hands down Melvin. An old wizard, allegedly around five hundred years old, but he is an unreliable narrator. Its hard to tell when he is being serious or when he is just messing with the young people. I hope he will have at least some screen time in all of my books. He is the kind of person to catastrophize the most tiny unimportant things, and be completely careless and nonchalant about actual big disastrously things. And of the dynamics, i really like how he is this sweet and caring father figure to his mean cat (who is totally just a normal cat) and a mischievous and unserious mentor figure to any wandering protagonist.
Now honorable mentions
Olive, the pet house. That phrase will make sense when i post a chapter when she appears in the story. She's such a cute little magical abomination Huxley, the antagonist who never tells a lie. Freaking terrifying and yet so reasonable. (he is the antagonist of "where do i draw the line" the book that i have written the second)
Melvin's cat. The interactions between her and the protagonist of the second book are just too good. She finally got somebody to match her freak.
And i really want to draw more of them, but i don't yet have the confidence. Like, when I'm drawing, I'm not even talking about whether it looks good or not, half of the times what i draw don't even look like the character its supposed to be, ahaha.
So yeah, the genre is cozy fantasy and has a bit of humor in it, and for the third book that I'm in the very beginning of i decided to go stupid and not cater to any literary rhyme or reason, not to cater to any market niche and just have fun with it. Like, i am a person who thinks in comedic bits. And i just want to allow myself to go as wild with it as i want. Like the little bit about the summoning obelisk (its posted on my blog, the one with the demon going "Stop summoning me, i have a life!), its from the very beginning of the third one
And when i get better at drawing i WILL draw more of my characters, them all are my precious babies and i love them so much
Thanks for asking me! I really needed to yap about it! Much love my man
A quick portrait of Tom, the protagonist of the second book
LORE WITH A BIT OF CONTEXT part two
I walk up the too worn steps, I open the door and the door chime rings. I already have a handful of seeds in my hand as the tiny birds swarm me and land on my hands, shoulder and even head. I look over to the counter and see the big cat lounging there. I meow at it, it lifts its head and says
β What the fu- β But I interrupt her
βShh! Cats donβt talk!
βI swear to gods, one of these daysβ¦ β And it drops its head back on the counter with an audible thunk, closes its eyes and gets comfortable.
(i just had had to share this little bit as well)
Previous part Next part
Hey guys, i think I'm going to commit some great writing sins
So as it usually goes i go into a huge writers block after finishing a book, and i was thinking about the unthinkable. Posting it on ao3 as i write it, chapter by chapter. Why's that so bad? Because after you finish the first draft, you go over it countless times, fixing, proofreading and redoing things, so for a long while the ao3 will only have this very raw version. And i will replace it only after A WHILE when i fix up everything. It takes long. That's why before i posted my stuff only after it is completely polished.
But what i love about ao3 is i can have an appendix before or after the chapter, like... When i write i think in comedic bits. And the story grows out of it. And so many funny things are left out of the frame. And on ao3 i could put this stuff in the appendix, something that normally wouldn't end up in the written story, but perhaps could be shown if it was say some sort of visual media. Cuz of the different pace of it. So in return of getting a raw version that is subject to change in the future, you can get some extra funnies (THAT ARE CANON!) that would not end up in the actual book.
What do you guys think?

Continuation to the last post. this guy is the silent bob type sidekick
Garbiel, the protagonist of my third book
Which is still in its early stages, so i have no idea when it will see the light of day. And this character is basically Prince Charming from Shrek, buy gayer and evilyler. Makes for quite good comedy dynamic with his SIlent Bob type sidekick.
If you're bored enough, you can read my two other books on my ao3, for free.

Last chapter of "Where do i draw the line/The source of sorcery" is out now! Yes the whole thing is finally out!

Now i plan on drawing a bunch of stuff about the story. And maybe even slowly get back into working on book three. (my books can be read in ANY order)
If you're enjoyed reading this please let me know what you think!
Man it sure has been a wild ride. Thanks to everyone who believed in me and supported me! You are responsible for making this happen.
Much love. Fauv
