hi bb! in honor of the finale tonight can we get some bishop and his pregnant gf
Oh absolutely
ĖąØą§āļ½”Ė āBishop and pregnant!reader
| bishop x f!reader | warnings: smut, a little drabble of celebration, unprotected sex, breeding kink, daddy kink, married couple (thatās husband down), etc. | mdni18+ |
.ššš²Ü.ššš²Ü.ššš²Ü.ššš²Ü.ššš²Ü.ššš²Ü.ššš²Ü.ššš²Ü.ššš²Ü.ššš²Ü.ššš²
Bishop knew you were the one for him on your first date. You were kind, honest, young, smart, and a angel by heart.
One year in the relationship, Bishop had you all studied out. Especially in bed.
Bishop is a gentleman in bed he really is. Always made sure you were comfortable; gave you mind exploding orgasms with his mouth or hands alone. And fucked you so good, his cock ruined you to the point that he was all you wanted inside you. But that wasnāt Bishopās main observation, it was how you talked to him.
Seeing how Finn holding a baby in his new show has done āØthings⨠to us all, would it be too greedy to ask for some thoughts on domestic iceflame? (any au really tt, modern, hw or dm whichever you want) š„ŗšš pretty please??
I just NEED to impregnate that man like breeding kink goes BRRRRRRRR
So glad seeing our little omega with a baby sent us all into a frenzy as a collective. As always, lots to say because #iceflamebrainrot. I've already went a bit into domestic life in this ask and even more in girl!dad aerion ask. This focuses on modern!au but if you guys wanted tt!version or dm!version, let me know!
The reconnection happens years later. You've built a life, a career, something that feels like yourself with the Baelor-shaped grief filed down to something manageable.
Aerion has... stabilised is the closest word, not improved. Still volatile. Still wrong in all his specific ways. But the frenzy has quieted into something more controlled and therefore more dangerous.
He asks you to dinner once and you say yes because you're curious, and you've never in your life been able to stop being curious about him.
The first year back is ugly and wonderful. You fight about everything. You also have the best sex of your life. You leave twice but you keep finding each other anyway like some big cosmic joke before you both silently agreed to stop pretending departure was still an option when universe itself seems to be conspiring against you.
He proposes badly. It isn't a planned evening, not a ring in a glass of champagne, not candlelight. It's 11pm on a random ass Monday and you're arguing about something domestic and mid-argument he just stops and says "marry me," like the words have been sitting behind his teeth for years and the fight finally shakes them loose. You stare at him. He stares back, jaw tight, and spits out "don't make me say it again." You say yes. He kisses you hard enough to bruise.
The wedding is private. His siblings only because things are still complicated after the Baelor situation and neither of you wants an audience for something this significant. Rhae cries properly, openly. Daeron makes a speech (he's the best man) that's somehow both really cutting but somehow still genuinely warm. Egg takes approximately two hundred photos on his phone with total seriousness (they're really good). It's perfect.
affirmed sweetheart !
.. when james has been caught up in all the hate he has been getting and has drug himself down a path of self hatred, until you realize and help him.

warnings: hurt/comfort fluff idk i think thatās all
a/n: iāve seen so much hate abt james currently and i just wanted to make this because he doesnāt deserve it at all pls enjoy ;(

Azzi let out a long, ragged breath, her thumb tracing the smooth, cool metal of the necklace in her hand. The suggestion from Caroline hung in the air, thick with a kind of messy complexity that made Azziās head spin. Throughout the years, she and Caroline had been through everything together, but this was a different kind of territory.
"Make her jealous?" Azzi whispered, her voice barely audible over the hum of the refrigerator in the dark kitchen. "Care, that sounds... like a disaster waiting to happen. Chloe is already looking for reasons to push me out. If I start acting like Iām moving in on Paige, sheāll turn Paige against me for good."
"Az, listen," Carolineās voice came through the speaker, sharper now, filled with the confidence of someone watching the drama from a safe distance. "Chloe is playing a game. Sheās using your history against you to make you look unstable. If you want Paige to see who Chloe really is, you have to force Chloeās hand. Remind Paige why youāve been her person for twenty years. Lean into the inside jokes, the memories, the physical closeness that Chloe doesn't have a history with. When Chloe snapsāand she *will* snap because she's insecureāPaige will see the ugliness youāre talking about."
Azzi leaned her head back against the staircase railing. The logic was cold and calculated. It felt wrong to use her genuine love for Paige as a chess piece, but as she thought about the smirk Chloe had given her on the porch, a flicker of something dark and determined ignited in her chest.
"I don't want to hurt Paige," Azzi said, though the words felt more like a question than a statement.
"You aren't hurting her," Caroline countered. "Youāre fighting for her. Youāre showing her that her 'perfect' girlfriend has a mean streak. Besides, you said Paige was the one pulling you close during the movie and holding you at the creek. The spark is already there, Az. Youāre just... fanning the flames."
Azzi looked up the dark staircase toward Paige's room. The thought of being close to Paige again, of reclaiming the space that Chloe had tried to steal, felt like a dangerous drug. It was a gamble. If she followed Caroline's advice, she might finally expose Chloeās true nature but she also risked breaking the fragile bond she still had with her best friend.
"I have to go, Care," Azzi said, her heart hammering a frantic rhythm against her ribs. "I need to sleep. I need to think."
"Just think about it," Caroline urged. "Don't let that girl win by default. Love you, Az."
"Love you too," Azzi murmured before hanging up.
She stood up, her legs feeling heavy and unsteady. She climbed the stairs with painstaking slowness, avoiding the boards she knew would creak. When she reached the landing, she saw the sliver of light beneath Paigeās bedroom door. The house was silent, yet it felt loud with the secrets being kept in every room.
Azzi retreated to the guest room, but she didn't turn on the light. She sat on the edge of the bed, clutching the silver necklace. Caroline's words echoed in her mind Make her jealous. It was a path that led toward confrontation and chaos, but as Azzi stared into the darkness, she realized that being the "perfect, quiet best friend" hadn't worked. It had only gotten her pushed out.
If tomorrow was going to be a battle for Paigeās heart, Azzi decided she wasn't going to show up unarmed. She tucked the necklace under her pillow, her jaw setting in a firm line. The "childhood phase" was over

āMay I ask why you up so early everyone still asleep it ā she look at her watch 7am
Azziswallowed the lump rising in her throat, desperate to keep her composure. She didn't want the raw frustration and hurt that had kept her tossing and turning all night to bleed into her voice and worry her mother.
"I guess I just had a lot on my mind, Mom," Azzi said, keeping her back turned for a moment longer as she transferred the sausages to a paper towel lined plate. She took a deep breath, trying to anchor herself, before turning around to face her mother with a carefully constructed, reassuring smile. "I wanted to stay busy. And honestly, cooking always helps me clear my head when things get a little overwhelming."
She walked over to the kitchen table, setting down the massive platter of golden pancakes and eggs,
Before her mother could reply, the heavy silence of the kitchen was broken by the sound of footsteps shuffling down the stairs once again.
Azziās posture instantly stiffened, her fingers tightening around the handle of the spatula as Paige and Chloe stepped into view. Paige was still halfway asleep, yawning softly and rubbing her eyes as she adjusted to the bright kitchen light. Chloe, however, was wide awake.
"Good morning, Mrs. Bueckers," Chloe said smoothly, her voice dripping with a sweet, exaggerated politeness as she offered Azziās mom a flawless, practiced smile.
But the moment Chloe's eyes shifted toward the stove, the warmth vanished from her expression. A slow, mocking smirk played at the corners of her lips.
"Oh, hey Azzi," Chloe said, her tone dripping with passive aggressive condescension. "Didn't see you there.
"Azzi didnāt say a word. She kept her jaw clenched, refusing to give Chloe the satisfaction of a reaction. she snatched her phone off the counter, the screen lighting up against her palm, and walked past them without making eye contact "Good morning, sweetie,
ā Mrs. Bueckers said warmly, directing the greeting toward Paige while giving her a gentle, affectionate pat on the shoulder. She then offered a hospitable smile to Chloe. "I hope you girls slept well. Azzi went all out for you guys today."
Paige slid into the chair directly across from Azzi, hoping to catch even a fleeting glimpse of eye contact.
"Good morning, Az," Paige said softly, her voice carrying a fragile, tentative warmth that practically begged for a truce. It was the old nickname, the one forged over years of shared lockers, late-night phone calls, and secrets whispered in the back of classrooms since the sixth grade. It was a silent plea, a reminder of who they used to be before miles of highway, a new school, and Chloe had rewritten the rules of their world.
Chloe immediately shifted in her seat beside Paige, her eyes narrowing as she picked up on the sudden shift in tone. She reached over, her fingers deliberately wrapping around Paigeās wrist in a subtle, possessive display of ownership, her gaze locked squarely on Azzi to see if the gesture would provoke a reaction.
Azziās thumbs slowed on her screen for a fraction of a second, the familiar nickname hitting her like a physical blow, but she refused to look up. The sting of their argument from the night before was still too fresh, the bitter taste of Paigeās disbelief lingering on her tongue.
Mrs. Bueckers sensed the sudden drop in temperature in the room, her eyes darting between Azziās rigid posture and Paigeās crestfallen expression. The maternal instinct to fix things kicked in immediately, though she still didnāt understand the root of the problem.
"Well," Mrs. Bueckers said, her voice a little too bright as she set the pitcher of orange juice down with a clink. "Let's all dig in before it gets cold. Chloe, help yourself to some pancakes. Azzi made them from scratch."
Chloe didn't miss a beat. She let out a small, dainty laugh that sounded entirely forced. "Oh, thank you, Mrs. Bueckers, but I actually try to avoid heavy carbs in the morning. I usually just do an egg white omelet or a green smoothie. But itās *so* sweet that Azzi tried." She shot a pointed look at Azzi's plate, which was piled high. "I guess some people just love a heavy breakfast."
The subtle jab hung in the air.
Paige winced, immediately recognizing the tension rising in Azzi's shoulders. She knew how much Azzi hated passive-aggressive comments, and she knew Chloe was pushing buttons. Desperate to keep the peace and stop another explosive fight from happening right in front of Azzi's mom, Paige quickly reached for the serving tongs.
"I'll take some," Paige said quickly, piling two pancakes onto her plate. She looked across the table, trying to catch Azzi's eye. "You always make the best pancakes, Az. Remember when we tried to make them at my old house and accidentally used salt instead of sugar?"
It was a blatant attempt to use an inside joke to bridge the gap, to remind Azzi of the bond Chloe was trying so hard to dismantle.
Azzi finally looked up from her phone. Her eyes didn't soften. Instead, she looked directly past Paige and locked eyes with Chloe, who was currently taking a slow, deliberate sip of her orange juice, a triumphant smirk playing on her lips.
"Yeah, I remember," Azzi said, her voice flat, devoid of the warmth she usually had when recalling their childhood. She set her phone face-down on the table with a firm *thunk*. "But things change. People forget what matters."
Paige's smile faltered, her heart sinking at the coldness in her best friend's voice. Before she could defend herself, Chloe reached over and gently patted Paigeās hand, executing her next move perfectly.
"Don't worry about it, babe," Chloe whispered loudly enough for everyone to hear, offering Paige a sympathetic, pitying look. "Some people just have a hard time accepting when someone grows up and moves on."Azzi pushed her chair back violently, the screech of the wooden legs against the floor cutting through Chloeās words like a knife. The sheer audacity of Chloeās commentāand the fact that Paige just sat there, letting her say itāmade Azzi's blood boil. She couldn't sit at this table for another second without losing her mind.
"Iām done," Azzi said, her voice shaking with a mixture of anger and hurt. She barely looked at the table as she aggressively snatched a piece of bacon from the platter. "If you need me, Mom, Iām gonna be in my room."
Without waiting for a response, she turned on her heel and stormed out of the dining room. Every step she took up the stairs was heavy and loud, a clear declaration of her frustration.
Behind her, the dining room fell into a stunned silence. Mrs. Bueckers looked bewildered, her eyes wide as she looked from the empty doorway to the remaining girls. Paige stared down at her plate, the guilt washing over her in a suffocating wave, while Chloe simply took another calm, satisfied sip of her juice, completely pleased with herself for driving the wedge even deeper.
Upstairs, Azzi slammed her bedroom door shut, leaning her back against the wood and letting out a shaky breath
Azzi was sitting on the edge of the bed, her phone gripped tightly in her hand as she stared blankly at the wall, the piece of bacon long gone. The heavy, angry thudding in her chest had finally slowed down, replaced by a hollow, aching weight.
When the quiet, hesitant knock rattled the wood of her bedroom door, she flinched slightly.
"Can I come in?"
The voice through the door was soft, laced with a familiar anxiety. It wasn't her mother's voice, and it definitely wasn't Chloeās sharp, confident tone.
It was Paige.
Azzi looked at the door handle, her jaw tightening. Part of her wanted to yell through the wood and tell Paige to go back downstairs to her perfect girlfriend. But another part of herāthe part that still wore the memory necklace tucked beneath her collarāached to just have her best friend back.
"It's unlocked," Azzi called out, her voice deliberately flat and guarded as she braced herself for whatever was coming next
The brass doorknob turned slowly, and the door creaked open just enough for Paige to slip into the room. She closed it gently behind her, as if a loud noise might cause Azzi to bolt.
Paige stood there for a moment, her arms crossed defensively over her chest, looking incredibly small. She looked around the room, her eyes avoiding Azziās intense stare before she finally took a tentative step toward the bed.
"Hey," Paige said quietly, her voice barely above a whisper.
Azzi didn't say anything. She just leaned back against her pillows, crossing her arms and watching Paige with a cold, unreadable expression. The silence between them stretched, thick and uncomfortable, a far cry from the easy, effortless quiet they used to share.
"Your mom went out to the grocery store to get some things for dinner," Paige offered, trying to break the ice. "And Chloe is downstairs on FaceTime with her sister."
"Good for Chloe," Azzi replied, her tone dripping with ice. "Did she give you permission to come up here, or are you on a tight leash?"
Paige winced, the harsh words visibly stinging. She dropped her arms to her sides and took another step closer, her expression shifting from anxious to deeply hurt. "Az, please. Why do you have to be like this? I came up here because I want to talk. I hate that we're fighting."
"We're fighting because you think I'm a liar, Paige," Azzi said, her voice rising slightly as the anger flared up again. She sat up straight, pointing a finger at the door. "You stand there and let your girlfriend make passive-aggressive digs at me, at my food, at my life, and you just sit there and eat your pancakes like nothing is happening! She is actively trying to ruin our friendship, and you are letting her."
"Sheās not trying to ruin anything!" Paige defended, though her voice lacked the fiery conviction it had the night before. She looked desperately at Azzi. "Chloe is just... she's protective of me, Az. She knows how much you mean to me, and I think sheās just intimidated by our history. You aren't exactly making an effort to be nice to her either."
"Nice to her?" Azzi let out a harsh, disbelief-filled laugh. "I made breakfast for everyone! And she immediately insulted it and called me childish. Iāve tried, Paige. But I'm not going to sit here and let someone treat me like garbage in front of my own best friend, especially when that best friend won't even back me up."
Paige bit her lower lip, She stepped closer to the bed, the heels of her socks sliding silently over the hardwood floor until she was standing directly over Azzi. Tears of sheer frustration and overwhelming confusion began to well up in her eyes, blurring her vision.
"You think I don't back you up?" Paigeās voice cracked, a desperate, breathless sound that spilled out of her before she could stop it. She threw her hands up in the air, the heavy weight of the past twenty-four hours finally breaking her composure. "Azzi, I am drowning here! I am caught in the absolute middle of the two most important people in my life, and I feel like I'm being torn to pieces. Chloe is my girlfriend, yes, and I have to try and make things work with her, but youā"
Paige choked back a sob, stepping even closer until her knees pressed against the edge of the mattress. She looked down at Azzi, her heart completely exposed.
"You are my history, Az. You're the girl who knows every single secret I've ever kept. You're the person I think about the second anything happens to me, good or bad.
When I moved away, it felt like a part of my lungs went with you, and I haven't been able to breathe right since. I didn't defend Chloe because I thought you were a liar. I stayed quiet because if I admit that youāre right, if I admit that sheās trying to push you away, then I have to admit that my life here is a total mess. And I can't lose you, Azzi. I can't. If you leave this week and hate me, I don't know what I'm supposed to doā"
"Paige, shut up," Azzi whispered.
But Paige was spiraling, the words tumbling out in a frantic, uncontainable rush. "No, you don't understand, I've been trying so hard to balance everything, to make sure everyone is happy, and I'm just so scared that I've already ruined things with you, and Iā"
Azzi didn't let her finish. she closed the remaining inches between them. Her hand shot up, her fingers tangling firmly into the fabric of Paigeās shirt, and she pulled her forward.
Azzi pressed her lips fiercely against Paigeās. Paige froze in pure shock, her hands hovering uselessly in the air between them. But as the initial surprise melted away, the years of hidden feelings,
late-night phone calls, and the unspoken agony of their separation took over. Paige let out a soft, shuddering sigh, her eyelids fluttering shut as she collapsed into the contact.
Her hands found their way to Azzi's waist, gripping her shirt tightly, pulling her closer until there was no space left between them at all.
Azzi pulled back. Her hands remained anchored on Paigeās shoulders, her fingers gripping the fabric as if she needed the physical connection to ground herself in reality. Her gaze dropped instantly to Paigeās face. Paigeās eyes were still half-closed, heavy with a dazed, uncomprehending shock, and her lips were visibly flushed and swollen from the intensity of the collision.
"Fuck," Paige breathed out, the word escaping her as a breathless, ragged moan that vibrated in the small space between them. She staggered forward half a step, her knees momentarily weak, completely undone by the sudden erasure of the boundaries they had spent years maintaining.
Azziās thumb brushed against Paigeās lower lip, a lingering, possessive touch that made Paigeās eyelids flutter. The anger that had fueled Azzi all morning hadn't vanished; instead, it had morphed into something completely consuming.
"You don't get to tell me to just be friends with her, Paige," Azzi whispered, her voice low and fierce, her eyes locking onto Paigeās. "Not when you look at me like that. Not after this."
Paige swallowed hard, her chest heaving as she tried to find her voice. Her hands were still tightly gripping Azziās waist, refusing to let go even though her mind was screaming at her about the reality waiting downstairs. The memory necklace rose and fell against her collarbone with every shaky breath.
"Az..." Paige choked out, tension.
"We got to go back downstairs before she knows," Azzi said, her voice dropping into a low, smooth murmur that was entirely devoid of its previous anger. It was a tactical reminder, a sudden return to reality, but the teasing glint in her eyes made it clear that she was the one in control now.
Paige stood frozen at the edge of the bed, her breath still coming in shallow, uneven hitches as she tried to reassemble her shattered composure. She raised a trembling hand, her fingers gently brushing against her own sensitive lips, looking at Azzi as if she were staring at a beautiful, dangerous storm. "Azzi, waitāwe can't justā"
"I had fun," Azzi interrupted softly, a wicked, knowing smile playing at the corners of her mouth.
She could hear the rhythmic, confident thud of Azziās footsteps fading down the stairs, followed by the casual, fluid cadence of Azzi stepping back into the downstairs space as if she hadn't just completely upended their entire world. Paige took a deep, trembling breath, desperately trying to swallow the residual heat lingering on her tongue. She used the back of her hand to press hard against her mouth, hoping the pressure might somehow dull the vivid redness and reduce the swelling Azzi had left behind.
Realizing that staying upstairs any longer would only look incredibly suspicious, Paige forced her feet to move. Every step down the staircase felt like walking toward a firing squad.
When she rounded the corner into the open living area, she saw Azzi leaning casually against the kitchen counter, looking completely unbothered as she scrolled through her phone with a small, inscrutable smirk playing at the corners of her lips. Chloe was sitting on the sofa, her phone finally resting in her lap, her posture rigid. The second Paige stepped into view, Chloeās sharp eyes locked onto her, tracking her movement with an intense, analytical scrutiny that made Paigeās stomach instantly tie itself into knots.
"Hey, bae," Chloe said, her voice dropping the sweet, performance-ready tone she used for adults and replacing it with a possessive, demanding edge.
She stood up from the couch, her gaze scanning Paigeās face with a sudden, sharp intensity. Chloe was incredibly perceptive; she prided herself on noticing the slightest shift in Paige's demeanor, and right now, every single alarm bell in her head was ringing. Paige looked entirely undoneāher hair was slightly mussed, her breathing was uneven, and her posture lacked the defensive rigidity she had maintained during their argument the night before.
Chloe took two steps forward, closing the distance between them until she was standing directly in Paige's personal space. Her eyes narrowed into tiny slits as her gaze dropped from Paigeās nervous, darting eyes down to her mouth. The change was undeniable. Paige's lips were flushed a deep, telltale crimson, visibly plumped and irritated from raw, intense friction.
"What happened to your lip?" Chloe asked, her voice dropping an octave, losing any trace of affection. It wasn't a casual question; it was an interrogation. She reached out, her manicured fingers gripping Paigeās chin with a firm, unyielding pressure, tilting her face upward into the bright morning light flooding through the window.
Paige froze, her eyes widening in a flash of pure, unadulterated panic. She could feel Azziās eyes on them from the kitchen counter,
"IāI bit it," Paige stammered, the excuse tasting like ash on her tongue. She tried to pull her face back, but Chloeās grip on her chin tightened just enough to keep her locked in place. "Must've been an allergic reaction to something in breakfast, too. You know how sensitive my skin gets."
Chloe didn't look convinced. Her sharp gaze flicked over Paigeās features, searching for any telltale sign of deceit, before drifting past her shoulder. Across the room, Azzi hadn't moved an inch. She remained leaned against the counter, the picture of cool, effortless detachment, though her eyes danced with a dangerous, quiet amusement. She raised her phone to her lips, concealing a slow, triumphant grin behind the screen.
"An allergic reaction," Chloe repeated slowly, her voice dripping with skepticism as she finally released Paigeās chin. She wiped her thumb against her own palm, as if wiping away the very excuse. "Funny how that happens right after you go upstairs. I didn't realize pancakes and sausage could cause that much swelling."
"It happens sometimes," Paige insisted, her voice growing higher, frantic to shut down the interrogation before it went any further. She stepped past Chloe, desperate to put some physical distance between them, but her body felt entirely uncoordinated. The ghost of Azzi's touch was still vibrating along her skin, making the air in the room feel suffocatingly hot. "I'm just going to get some water."
"Yeah, you do that," Chloe murmured, her eyes narrowing as she watched Paige retreat toward the kitchen.
The tension in the room shifted, tightening like a cello string stretched to its absolute limit. As Paige approached the sink, she had no choice but to pass directly by Azzi. For a split second, the space between them shrank. Azzi didn't say a word, but as Paige brushed past, Azzi deliberately shifted her weight, her shoulder grazing Paige's in a slow, electric reminder of what had just happened in the bedroom upstairs.
Chloe caught the subtle movement from across the room. Her jaw clenched, the pieces of the puzzle beginning to click together in a way that made her blood run cold. She had spent the last twenty-four hours trying to systematically dismantle the history between these two girls, confident that distance and a new title gave her the upper hand. But looking at Paigeās ruined composure and Azziās radiant, untouchable confidence, Chloe realized the game had completely changed.
"You know, Azzi," Chloe said, her voice cutting through the quiet hum of the refrigerator with a sharp, icy clarity. She walked over, her heels clicking ominously against the hardwood until she was standing at the edge of the kitchen island. "You're a really good cook. But I think you're making things a little too rich around here. People are starting to choke on it."
Azzi finally lowered her phone, her eyes locking onto Chloeās with a fearless, unbothered intensity that made Chloeās grip on her own phone tighten.
"I only make what people have a taste for, Chloe," Azzi replied smoothly, her voice a low, melodic purr that carried a double meaning Paige felt right in her chest. "And from what I can tell, some habits are just too hard to break."
"Ugh, let's go, Paige," Chloe snapped, her voice sharp enough to slice through the thick, suffocating atmosphere of the kitchen. Paige stood frozen by the counter, a glass of water gripped tightly in her hand, her knuckles turning white. She looked at Chloeās retreating back, and then, drawn by an her eyes flicked back over to Azzi. Paige finally tore her eyes away. She set the untouched glass of water down on the counter with a hollow clink and walked out of the kitchen, her head down as she followed Chloe out of the house, the front door clicking shut behind them.
The moment the latch clicked, the house fell into a profound, beautiful quiet.
Azzi let out a slow, deeply satisfied breath. The tension that had been coiling in her shoulders since she first arrived at Paige's house had completely dissolved, replaced by a radiant, untouchable sense of victory. She didn't care where they were going, and she didn't care what kind of frantic, desperate lies Paige was going to have to invent to keep Chloe from spiraling. The message had been delivered, loud and clear. Chloe could have the titles, the public hand-holding, and the daily FaceTime calls, but Azzi held the history and now, she held the future, too.
Sauntering out of the kitchen, Azzi practically floated into the living room. She bypassed the rigid dining table where the remnants of the morning's drama still lingered and crashed onto the plush, oversized sofa, stretching her legs out comfortably across the cushions.
