Guys idk when it was legal to get your license in Tulsa in 1960s so I’m just gonna assume it’s sixteen
When only turned fifteen he wasnt all about learning how to drive and getting his license but he still did learn how to
Darry, soda, two-bit, and Steve all did at least a little to help him learn
Soda would do most of the instructing in the car with pony
Darry would throw out important things to remember before soda and pony go out driving, he usually aim for topics soda forgets when driving
Two-Bit would sit in the back of car sometimes and overreact to everything
Pony gets a lil to close to the curb two-bits acting like the car almost flipped over
“WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT PONY YOU COULD HAVE KILLED US ALL”
But every now and then he give and genuinely useful tip
Steve would also sometimes ride in the back and he would also give random car facts
Ponyboy gets his license a few weeks after his sixteen birthday but barely uses it when he buys his very first car later in life he has to refresh his memory on how to drive
