Glowing scarlet eyes appeared to stare endlessly into the reflective neon lights of the glistening waterfall. A faint cool breeze blowing soft, auburn strands ahead of the one who owned them. His hands lay by his sides— motionless, imitating stone. Any monsters passing by would obviously avoid him, they knew what he was capable of. That one human that could usurp a kingdom with a single streak of determination. He'd murdered thousands without batting an eyelash; tortured millions through abusing their family— the worst of the worst and yet at that particular moment, he was feeling more human than he ever had before. Faint steps imperceptibly became audible, increasing in volume as the approacher finally halted in his shadow. Petite hands ascended to the killer's waist, delicately wrapping around him. The owner of mocha locks moved closer in proximity— unbeknownst to him, closer emotionally as well. His chest lightly pressed into the other's back. Chara felt constricted. Soft vocals danced on the wind—into his ears. "...Why did you leave so suddenly? I was worried..." In seconds, through one viciously swift backlash, the pacifist had ended up on the ground, holding fast to his faintly bruised cheek. He froze, regarding his other in shock— lip quivering lightly as tears pricked at the corners of his eyes. Chara towered over him menacingly as lackadaisical steps approached the fallen adolescent. He spoke, words hidden under the breath of his rough, darkened tone. "Why do you have to be so fucking annoying?" Frisk was awestruck. Only one simple utterance and he was being punished for it? Normally it'd take a few more words or even a single pick-up line for him to resort to violence so quickly. The second human couldn't even bring himself to respond— everything he could've said dissipating into the air as soon as he'd opened his mouth. An eerie shadow had cast itself over Chara's eyes. What an appearance — frightening to the core. Another utterance left him as he stared down onto his victim. "You've really become a thorn in my side the more I've gotten to know you. It's unfortunate that I can't kill you at least, lest I die myself, bu-" Frisk swiftly interjected what seemed like the beginning of a speech. Something was obviously amiss and he was determined to find out what it was. Beating around the bush was NOT an option. "Cut to the chase Chara. I know all of this already." Said being's oculars minimised in surprise at his pushy behaviour. Despite having the urge to beat him senseless for interrupting, he continued nonetheless. The cadence to his tone had reduced in aggression, appearing more stern through sensitive ears. "I've finally finished thinking...about your little crush that is, an-" "Is that what this is about?" "MOTHERFUCKER! STOP INTERRUPTING ME GOD DAMMIT!" He lashed out immediately, his vocals seemingly shaking the surrounding foliage, evidently disturbing the peace and tranquility of Waterfall. He couldn't care less. Eyes narrowed and burning with irritability, he attempted to continue however, changing the structure of his sentence last-minute. Frisk respectfully remained silent. "Don't you dare belittle me. I know I'm a hypocrite for saying so but I don't give a shit. This is important...well relatively, and..." He suddenly trailed off. His speech ceasing and commencing precipitously as he spoke— inconsistency connoting to a disruption in his thought train. Whatever was bothering him had strongly rooted itself in his mind it seems. Frisk stared at him blankly. Clueless. He hadn't exactly made anything clear yet. "I....well...uh...fuck." Just why couldn't he find the words to explain his thoughts? Every time he'd open his mouth, only stuttering and fillers would protrude but why? An irritated exhalation of unneeded air exited him. Pearls of nervousness had already begun becoming apparent on his infant-like face. "In regards to you wanting to date me...I...decli- wait, why are you staring at me like that? W-what's with that face? Are you fucking mocking me?!" The pacifist simply replied as he usually did with very few words. "You're just cute." Said face that had completely thrown off the other was a none other than a bright, sweet smile. Apparently, during Chara's minuscule nervous breakdown, Frisk had picked up on something unusual and it elated him. Chara was blushing. The shadow that had once darkened his appearance was gone and he was getting flustered. Through Frisk's eyes, it was just excessively endearing. And so, smile didn't once move from his soft tanned features. A purposeful saccharine voice replied to his rhetorical question. "What's wrong with my face Chara?" "That face! That's the face I can't get out of my fucking head! I hate that face and yet it has managed to occupy my fucking thoughts! I hate you and your fucking face—Fuck you and your fucking face!! But still, the very image of you will not exit my mind! This is your fault! Why won't you just stay out of my life— I DO NOT WANT TO FALL IN LOVE WITH YOU!!" With that, through a violent outburst, his 'problem' was clearly revealed. As he practically screamed those last words, it had just dawned on him what information had been given out. With great speed, he quickly silenced himself, hating what position he'd been put into at that current moment. Coming to this realisation, a sly grin traced itself into the pacifist's visage as he rose to his feet and approached the other once more— Fearless. Juxtaposed from how this conversation began, the beast had somewhat been tamed. Meanwhile, the prey was about to take control. Chara squinted. Mortified. Frisk spoke. His calm voice floated upon the faint breeze. "So...is that a yes then? Are we an item now?" In all honesty, Chara did nigh want to reply. Embarrassed to the point where he desired to crawl into a hole and die...again. However, he was too proud to stay silent and appear like that of a shy school girl in front of 'the pacifist' thus, he composed himself. Freeing his mouth from his hands and wiping away the beads of sweat that signified his nervousness avant to the revealing of his true feelings. He took back control of the conversation, Crimson oculars focusing dead on the other. A stern voice— Confident. "Mark my final answer as 'it's complicated'. If anyone asks, tell them 'it's complicated', understand?" "So, are we dating now?" "It's complicated." Frisk paused for a mere second gathering his thoughts. His expression returning to that of his usual tired visage. A large majority of presence had left his voice as he answered quietly. "How did...you come to that conclusion?" Without hesitation, the killer responded. "I told you...you've been occupying my thoughts lately. Not a day goes by that I don't think of you at some point...it's irritating. I would've loved to ignore it...especially when I'm mid-murdering pesky monsters but any denial at this point would cause unnecessary stress or confusion on my part. I think... I've gotten used to you... Maybe even attached...and it feels unnatural." His vocals had diminished in volume ever so slightly as he went on. "That said, don't expect me to cease my reign of terror over this world. I am the very culmination of 'Fight' and so, I won't stop until this world is erased. Next to that, I won't hesitate to beat the shit out of you if you dare piss me off so don't expect me to change my attitude either. You are....my property. Mine and mine alone. Meaning that I can do whatever I want with you and you nor anyone else will have the ability to do a thing about it. I'll punish you if need be and reward you when you impress me. I'll give you affection whenever I feel like it— if I don't, I'll fuck you up if you touch me. Got it?" Low and behold a speech to feed his oversized ego. The sermon of a dominant but nonetheless, Frisk was infatuated. He nodded eagerly, knowing full well the consequences of getting into a relationship with an individual such as Chara but alas, love was love— he'd cross that bridge of heartache when he got there. A few more steps, and he had intentionally become dangerously close to the volatile human being before him. A rosy blush graced the apples of his cheeks. He pointed to his soft, faintly plump lips, humming to get Chara's attention once more— the boy had already found interest elsewhere. His head was turned. "Kiss." Frisk really did have a way with words, managing to stump the other almost every time with simple consonants and vowels. Chara stared at him blankly. As per usual, his gaze wasn't particularly comforting but he gave in early this time around. After all, he HAD just agreed to 'date' the other so declining at this point would be going back on his word. Not an option. Leaf green coloured sleeves ascended to the smaller boy's chin, lifting it so that their heights would match in terms of face-to-face. He leaned in swiftly, claiming the lips of the pacifist in a short sweet kiss. It'd been done once before, this wasn't the first, however this particular one contained the correct sentiment as opposed to the first. Frisk grinned, a childish titter following. Chara's hand had felt warm against his skin— strange considering how cold he was at heart. The pacifistic adolescent had finally felt like his special person was paying attention to him and frankly, he couldn't have been happier. After one final saying for the both of them at that moment, Frisk gently clutched his faded azure coloured sleeves around Chara's emerald ones and proceeded to walk onwards through the calming atmospheric area that went by the name of Waterfall with his new significant other. "I love you, Chara. No matter what." "...No comment."
