"Because Chuuya is home and I want to pester Chuuya." "Asshole," Chuuya sighs, sitting on the edge of the bed. They place a hand to Dazai's head and wince. "I think you've already made yourself sick. When did you last sleep?" Dazai goes very still and very quiet. Chuuya feels a headache build behind his eyebrow. He sighs again. "Thought so. Shuddup and sleep, okay? You can pester me tomorrow." "But--" "If you don't, I won't kiss you." Dazai looks at Chuuya as if he had just kicked their puppy. "That's what I thought," Chuuya repeats, leaning forward and smirking. "Sleep or I won't so much as look at you for a week." "Chuuya is mean," Dazai whines. "Dazai is a fucking idiot." Pouting, Dazai finally relaxes against the mattress. "You'll give me a kiss now?" "If you promise to sleep." "I swear on my life." Chuuya glares. Dazai sighs. "I swear it on your life." Rolling their eyes, Chuuya leans the rest of the way in, pressing their lips together. Dazai's kiss is sloppy, desperate but clearly lacking the usual hunger. Chuuya laughs against their lips. "You're so tired you can't even kiss me right."

"I had an ex who thought they could shut me up." Dazai feels something dark crawl onto their face, into their eyes. The fingers around Jouno's jaw curl, biting into skin. "They were the one silenced." "Delightful," Dazai says, and then kisses Jouno like the world is ending.
