I feel like shit. I stayed up until 8am drinking. I have super anxiety because of it. I’m trying to stay hydrated, but I need a little hair of the dog to calm down and help with the hangover.
Gosh having my anxiety triggered from reading something online is no fun. But I can't unread it. I can only move forward and try to forget about it!

To anyone who can help, I have this speech coming up in Social Studies, and whenever I think about it, my legs get weak, I get lightheaded, and I feel like I might faint. Is there anything I could do to reduce my stress? Thank you in advance!
How I’ve always reduced speech anxiety is to pretend I’m a little bit annoyed and that my audience is a bunch of kindergarteners, as I then have to calmly but firmly explain something important to them in a manner that they understand. But then, Auntie is a huffy meanie of a fish, and has a lot of grit that way.
What you can do is practice. Start with inanimate objects, move up to a small group of friends. Talk to them about anything, make little notecards for the main points of your speech.
Most importantly, remember that everyone else in the room has to do this, and are probably just as nervous as you are when they’re up there. What this means is, when they’re not up there, you’ll have a very sympathetic audience that will likely not judge too harshly, if at all. You’ll do just fine, sweetie, I promise.
