and some tips for a newcomer:

go at your own pace! the first spring can seem overwhelming, but don’t be afraid to take your time and focus on what you enjoy doing.

that being said, don’t be afraid of fishing! a lot of people are put off by fishing—and for good reason, since it can be pretty tedious and hard at the beginning. but as you level up, fishing does become easier, and it’s a fast way to earn money if you don’t want to wait for crops.

backpack upgrades are SO helpful—i usually don’t spend any money on anything other than seeds so i can buy the 2 upgrades as soon as possible.

i never sell any resources (wood, stone, etc), even when i’m short on cash. they’re much better spent on crafting and buildings in the future.

I would say it’s pretty feasible for a regular player! There are different difficulty settings, so you can put it on the lowest difficulty right off the bat and take your time in figuring out what kind of fight style you prefer! 

Thankfully, Rune Factory 4 is a pretty easygoing game at first, plot-wise, so if you just want to take your time getting acclimated to the more combat-oriented stuff, there won’t be pressure from a story standpoint to go forward for a short while! 

I do highly recommend you try out Rune Factory 4, though, if you get the chance! It’s just a super fun time and the atmosphere of the town and the interactions you have with the other villagers is better executed than a good chunk of Bokujou Monogatari games in my opinion! Even if you just want to get it to get to know all the villagers and get married (which I think you can just do as soon as you can in the game), then it’d still be worth it. And I do think the game’s on sale on the E-Shop right now, so go buckwild!
