it'd  be  nice  to  say  that  tomorrow,  when  marlowe's  sober,  she  will  regret  her  actions.  it'd  be  nice  to  think  so  and  yet  …  marlowe's  marlowe.  there  is  not  a  lot  of  things  she  regrets,  and  especially  not  a  confrontation  long  overdue.  if  anything,  she  will  feel  lighter  in  the  morning,  no  matter  how  the  talk  between  them  ends.  lighter  that  words  were  spoken  rather  than  simmering  underneath  tense  surface  for  weeks  to  come.  she's  had  few  vodka  redbulls  and  puffs  of  weed,  so  when  she  starts  talking,  her  words  are  slurred.  has  to  clear  her  throat  and  start  again.  “  you  know  i  like  you  and  it  sucks  you  hate  me,  because  you're  in  love  with  sage  and  they  don't  want  to  date  you  like  that.  i  wish  we  could  be  friends,  you're  really  cool.  i've  tried  to  tell  them  to  go  after  you,  but  he  doesn't  want  to  so  how  is  that  my  fault,  i  don't  understand.  ”  sorry  xio.  there  it  is.
