Retired #BlackMamba announced his retirement yesterday stating that his body is #black and #blue and can no longer withstand a full @nba season. Sadly, I never really messed with his kicks over the years. As great a player as Kobe was, he was signed to @adidas much of his career and when he was signed to @nike I was not a fan of the low cut signature basketball sneakers he wore. Personally, I think the low cut styles were the result of several of Kobe’s injury’s late in his career. Regardless, next to Michael, Kobe is the player I’ve enjoyed watching the most in my lifetime and I think his departure sets the stage for players like @stephencurry30 and @22Wiggins both non @nike athletes to set a new tone for the sale of basketball sneakers for generations to come. Thank you Kobe for the good times! Click on the link in my bio to see a selection of my retro kick and some new styles recently added to the shop.
