The results are in! With 880 respondents (a massive jump from the 2019 poll!) who were given the ability to vote for up to 5 characters per person (3,274 votes total), you guys have decided who are the most liked characters from Attack on Titan within the community!

Of course, it is important to remember that this is only a sample size of the fandom, that all of these characters are loved, and that this was in no way intended to be contest. We were just curious where the characters currently stand in terms of fandom opinion!

The Top 10 AOT characters are:

1. Levi Ackerman 2. Reiner Braun 3. Hange Zoe 4. Eren Yeager 5. Armin Arlert 6. Jean Kirstein 7. Mikasa Ackerman 8. Erwin Smith 9. Pieck Finger 10. Zeke Yeager

Interesting trends to note from 2015′s poll, 2017′s poll and 2019′s poll:

This is the first poll that has knocked Annie Leonhart out of the Top 10.

This is the first poll where neither Ymir nor Historia have made the Top 10.

This is the first poll where Pieck Finger and Zeke Yeager ranked in the Top 10.

Hange has reclaimed the #3 slot after being pushed down to #5 in 2019.

This is the first poll where Armin has failed to make it into the Top 3. 

Since 2017, Reiner has managed to go from not even making the top 10 to ranking #2 in 2021. 

Related to the prior point, this is the first time anyone from the Warrior Trio has made the Top 3. 

Jean seems to always comfortably rank at either #6 or #7 over the years.

EMA have all lowered in rank since 2019, with Eren and Armin each being pushed down 2 ranks, and Mikasa being pushed down 3 ranks.

Related to the prior point, this is the lowest that both Armin and Mikasa have ranked in a tumblr poll.

Erwin Smith has also been pushed back down to #8, where he initially ranked in 2015.

This is the first poll where we actively encouraged promoting among multiple platforms, likely affecting the outcome more than the previous years’ polls. 

We may host one last poll sometime after the anime finale in 2022 if there is enough interest. :)

I promise we didn’t forget. It’s more an issue that the write in doc was 1300 pages and the person working on the one word description and charts has been swamped at university. 

We’re almost done. Hopefully this weekend.
