I was listening to some of those "I work/live at X place and we follow strange rules" stories at work today.
Now I'm just thinking about Corvid taking these jobs just to assess if he has to get rid of whatever is fucking around in the haunted gas station on the corner of a the street the only exists sometimes or if whatever is haunting the gas station on the fake street corner is just living it's life and he can choose not to care.
Me giving Corvid the most chaotic work history in existence. His Resume like "Worked 2 weeks at a gas station. Worked 3 months at another gas station 2 states away. Worked at a supermarket for 3 weeks, no you can't use them as a follow up contact everyone there is dead now. also the toy store he worked at for another month and a half doesn't exist and if you call the number an automated message tells you to please hang up and never call back."
None of these places are in the same city some are on different continents. The list goes on for miles.
like 8 times out of 10 he just leaves the place and lets whatever fae beasts are haunting the apartment building go about their business because they aren't *really* doing anything and if you want to live in haunted building because rent is cheap that's on you and other times he has to get into a real ass anime fight with a pseudo god because it's luring people into the basement of the butcher shop to drain them of their brain activity and wants to cause a cataclysm. There is not a snipe in the family who understands the minimum wage nightshift worker better then this man.
