soooo y'know how i mentioned i was replaying ultrakill, and you also know how i mentioned i was wanting to do some speedrunning.
WELL, i got all the way up to like 6-1 before i hit a semi decent road block in tryna P rank everything. (finally fought prime minos actually myself, and god he's so fun. terrifying but so so fun) so i took a little break, and noticed a friend of mine also playing, and was tryna sneakily beat my time on 1-4, the V2 first encounter, which he did after a couple of attempts.
so of course, a friendly rivalry was born. i immediately rushed over to see if i could repay the favour, and we spent the next hour or two wittling down our times lol. it was SO fun. i'm really hoping this continues for other levels
1-4 is such a good intro for this bc it's super short, super easy to cheese, and i mean the WR sits at just under 10 seconds if that's anything to go by lol
my pb is now an 18.310 second run, had a good like 15 minutes of runs after that, and i couldn't best it. I can definitely get a sub 18 though, maybeee a sub 17 if I really push it, but i'm gonna need a change in technique if i wanna go significantly lower. but i'm WITHIN 10 seconds of the world record, which is CRAZY. granted the gap between here and there is exponentially bigger than what it took just to get here, but it's still cool to think abt
i really want a sub 15, that's like the "big" goal outside of just pushing each second barrier little by little. but anyways, it's so fuckin late now and i should really sleep so i'm gonna do that lol. maybe.
