real answer: sadly not 😔 while it's a prevalent hc, cc!cellbit has said before that he definitely doesn't see his character like that. like he's still fine with cat characteristics in fanworks but it's not canon to q!c himself

it just spread in the fandom a lot bc 1) the gatinho nickname (literally translates to "cat/kitten", but here specifically used as a term for cute/handsome guys) and 2) cellbit just had a. weird habit of meowing sometimes? like he just makes random noises a lot but the moment he was caught meowing. oh it was over for him instantly. and of course 3) it's always fun to hc a weird lil guy as a weird lil cat. give that grown man fluffy pointed ears and a tail. why not. ^-^

though if you want to count it there was that one haircut he got from mike where he did get cat ears. but he was also bald and fucked up and nearly killed his hairdressers over it and changed back as soon as physically possible. but it sure did happen :3
