It depends on what your budget is and your space.
You can easily keep a nano fish species in a 20 gallon long, for example. I have my chilis in one and they do absolutely marvelously. Espeis, celestial pearls, ember tetras, pencil fish, glowlight danios, pygmy corys....there’s just so many small fish you can get, and you can also get shrimp to go in the tank too if you want some diversity in there.Â
