Sometimes you just need a tune to assist you in not giving a fuck about what the rest of the world is currently up to. There’s tracks out there that pulls you away from time & place - puts you in a nice comfortable bubble and closes the door to reality for a proper life-timeout.Â
'Life timeout’s’ aren’t shitty, they’re wonderful. Just like the teacher would send you out of the classroom for a timeout to not disturb the class - you got that whole hallway for yourself, no worries, no need to pay attention to something you weren’t interested in - the only concern you’ll have is you know when the tune ends and the teacher is gonna ask you back into the real world - there’s a shitstorm coming.
The good thing about this track is that it’s going to be part of a 25-year Anniversary release by Danish label Crunchy Frog notorious for having brought great alternative acts into this world, so I’m pretty sure there’s going to be good opportunity to escape the real world for a little while longer than the 4 minutes this track is spinning.
The album will be released digitally and on vinyl on Friday 13th September and contains a new track from each of their 16 active artists.
I haven’t talked much about what actually goes on in this track - I don’t think I’ll need to also, if you’re on this blog I’m 99% certain you’ll enjoy it. But for those of you out there who likes to know what you’re getting yourselves into, the bands own description of the track is pretty solid:
“it feels like The Doors, Moon Safari-era Air, and Carl Sagan are jam-guiding you through an acid trip inside the cockpit of a spaceship. “
Snake & Jet's Amazing Bullit Band are a duo from Copenhagen, Denmark, who were a part of graphic arts collective, and started putting on shows at art galleries before coming to the attention of our record label, Crunchy Frog. Since then, they've put out three albums, and this is the first single since 2012's Stuff That Rotates. Where the previous album had more of a 60's, summery psych feel, they have experimented with prog and acid rock elements on 'Planetary Dawn'.
